On the afternoon of May 24, 2026, the Kunming Smart Home Industry Association’s re-election conference and the second first membership conference were grandly held in Kunming.
Hu Ronggui, a second-level researcher of the Social Work Department of the Kunming Municipal Party Committee and deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Comprehensive Industries in Emerging Fields, and Xu Linhua, a fourth-level researcher of the Kunming Federation of Industry and Commerce and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Chamber of Commerce Association, attended the meeting and delivered important speeches. The heads of relevant departments of the United Front Work Department of the Kunming Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau and other units also attended the meeting.
The meeting was rich and orderly.
First of all, the work report made by Wang Junqing on behalf of the first board of directors, the financial report made by Li Chenjun and the work report of the supervisory board made by Chen Xiaomin were heard and approved.
The participating members voted by a show of hands and unanimously approved the “Articles of Association of Kunming Smart Home Industry Association (Revised Draft)”, “General Election Methods (Draft)” and the new membership fee collection standards.
In accordance with the Social Organization Management Measures and the Kunming Smart Home Industry Association Election Method, the conference successfully elected the second Board of Directors and Supervisory Board.
Wang Junqing was successfully re-elected as president, Li Dangru, Li Yingming and Guo Wenlong were elected as vice presidents, Li Chenjun was elected as secretary-general, Chen Xiaomin was elected as chairman of the board of supervisors, and 17 representatives including Wang Junqing were elected as directors.
The new leadership team has a reasonable structure and broad representation, which provides a solid organizational guarantee for the continued development of the association.
In his speech, re-elected chairman Wang Junqing emphasized that the smart home industry is a sunrise industry that meets the urgent needs of people’s livelihood and is in line with the smart transformation of cities. He deeply feels the great responsibility.
On behalf of the new board of directors, he solemnly promised to adhere to the purpose of the association, strictly abide by the charter, provide member services, and create an industry platform with warmth and credibility; serve as a good bridge between government and enterprises, accurately transmit policies, integrate resources, and help enterprises develop together; lead the industry in standardized operations, technological innovation, and standard construction, standardize industry order, and curb operating chaos; focus on the trends of digitalization, intelligence, and greening, empower groups, and polish the Kunming smart home industry brand.
He called on all members to work together and move forward, promote high-quality development of the industry under the guidance of departments at all levels, and contribute more to the local economy.
In his speech, Deputy Secretary Xu Linhua fully affirmed the achievements made by the association in four aspects since its establishment.
The first is to effectively play the role of bridge and link, open up communication channels between government and enterprises, and facilitate the implementation of policies; the second is to gather the strength of the industry and widely absorb upstream and downstream related enterprises such as intelligent security, whole-house customization, and home decoration supporting companies to promote the industry’s development from decentralized operations to centralized development.
The third is to adhere to the original intention of serving, carry out research, publicity and training to help enterprises solve problems and enhance the sense of belonging of members; the fourth is to practice social responsibilities, strengthen party building leadership, actively participate in rural revitalization and charity, and demonstrate the responsibility of private enterprises in the era.
Regarding the next development of the association, he put forward four hopes, including adhering to political leadership, service-oriented, normative self-discipline, and integrity and innovation.
Deputy Secretary Hu Ronggui expressed warm congratulations on the successful convening of the conference and the newly elected leadership team, and paid tribute to the previous council and all members who have worked hard for the association.
He introduced the functional positioning of the Social Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee to coordinate and guide the party building work and reform and development of industry associations and chambers of commerce, and put forward high expectations for the future development of the association. He hoped that the association would adhere to the leadership of party building, focus on the main business, strengthen industry self-discipline, consolidate its own construction, and promote Kunming’s smart home industry to a new level.
The conference successfully completed all agendas. It not only summarized achievements, reviewed important tasks, and elected a new leadership organization, further gathering consensus on industry development.
Members attending the meeting expressed that under the leadership of the new council, they will strengthen confidence, develop together, actively embrace the opportunities of digital transformation and smart city construction, empower the industry with high-quality products and services, and contribute smart home power to the high-quality development of Kunming’s private economy.
