Ten years ago, Zhao Ting, general manager of Hubei Yunan Automation Equipment Co., Ltd., gave up the prosperity of the coast and chose to return to his hometown of Jingzhou, where he started his own entrepreneurial journey with passion.
He is deeply involved in the field of industrial manufacturing and has gradually developed the hard power of Jingzhou’s local equipment in the segmented track of non-standard automation.
In the workshop of Hubei Yunan Automation Equipment Co., Ltd., various professional equipment are neatly displayed, and several technicians are surrounding a special truck grease injection machine that has just been debugged to conduct final parameter reviews.
Zhao Ting, the general manager of the company, shuttled between each piece of precision equipment, focusing on the details of the process.
Zhao Ting, general manager of Hubei Yunan Automation Equipment Co., Ltd., said: “This grease injection machine is an automated grease injection system we developed and manufactured for China National Heavy Duty Truck Jinan Axle Company, which solved their problem of manual grease injection. Our (grease injection system) has achieved the professional requirements of automation, quantification, digitization, and informatization, and has played a very good role in improving quality.”
The core product of Yunan Company is non-standard intelligent mechanical equipment.
In the field of industrial manufacturing, this kind of equipment is called “customized industrial tailor” – it is not a general-purpose model produced in mass production, but an intelligent machine tailored for special needs.
In 2012, Zhao Ting, who was engaged in mechanical design in Dalian, discovered the vast space in the non-standard automation equipment market. He quit his high-paying job and chose to return to Jingzhou to start over.
In its early days, the company focused on the production of non-standard automation equipment for the civil automobile industry.
Although the product gained market recognition in a small area, competition in the civilian field was fierce and profits were meager. Zhao Ting quickly realized that in order to break through, he had to transform into a special industry with a higher threshold.
After setting the target, Zhao Ting led the team to concentrate on polishing the technology.
Relying on the solid technical foundation and stable reputation accumulated in the civilian field, the company quickly found a breakthrough.
In 2019, Yunan Company made great efforts and officially entered the production of non-standard equipment for special industries.
Zhao Ting said: “In 2019, our orders will be 100% for civilian products (non-standard equipment). After 2024, our orders will be 95% for special industries and 5% for the automotive industry.”
Stability leads to long-term development, and Zhao Ting knows this well.
He and Yunan Company are keeping their feet on the ground and moving towards the next goal step by step.
Zhao Ting said: “We want to (increase) the company’s output value to 100 million in the past five years and employ 100 people.” On the road to future development, Zhao Ting and his team will continue to work hard on the non-standard equipment track, continuously improve the influence and competitiveness of “Made in Jingzhou”, and inject new vitality into Jingzhou’s industrial development.
