Two major domestic automation exhibitions are scheduled for 2026 to help coordinate the upgrading of electronic manufacturing systems

In 2026, the competitive logic of the electronics manufacturing industry is undergoing profound changes.
Driven by fields such as AI terminals, automotive electronics, and semiconductor packaging and testing, product iterations are accelerating, batch sizes are shrinking, and delivery times are compressed. The single-machine advantages of “fast placement machines and stable reflow soldering temperatures” in traditional SMT workshops are no longer enough to support the efficient operation of the entire production line.
The real bottlenecks often occur in cross-process links such as line change and machine adjustment, material distribution, exception handling, and quality traceability.
More and more manufacturing companies realize that the key to improving overall equipment efficiency and production flexibility lies in enabling equipment to be interconnected, data to be connected, logistics to be automatically connected, and abnormalities to be alerted in real time.
This is where the value of workshop-level collaboration and factory-level automation lies.
From AGV automatic handling to smart silos, from equipment data collection to MES scheduling, from AI visual inspection to robot collaboration workstations, automation technology is upgrading from “single point replacement of manual labor” to “system reconstruction process.”
This trend is also directly reflected in the popularity of professional exhibitions: companies no longer just focus on the parameters of a certain piece of equipment, but want to see complete solutions from electronic production equipment to smart warehousing, from industrial software to system integration.

In line with this industry upgrading direction, S-FACTORY EXPO
The 2026 Smart Factory and Automation Technology Exhibition will be held at Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Baoan) from October 27 to 29, 2026.
This exhibition focuses on the real pain points in the production process of electronic manufacturing companies and focuses on demonstrating three core capabilities.
The first is industrial software.
Application solutions such as factory integrated management software, lean production management system, data collection and monitoring will be presented at the exhibition site.
For electronic manufacturing scenarios with multiple varieties and small batches, industrial software can help companies connect orders, equipment, personnel, materials, processes and quality management, reduce information islands, and improve production scheduling accuracy and abnormal response speed.
The second is smart warehousing and logistics.
As delivery speed and inventory turnover efficiency requirements continue to increase, traditional warehousing models are no longer able to meet high-tempo production needs.
The exhibition focuses on exhibits such as AGV/AMR, smart silos, and automated warehousing management systems to help companies achieve efficient material flow within the factory and reduce incorrect materials, backlogs, and manual handling costs.
The third is basic integration capabilities, covering motion control, transmission accessories, robot integration, sensors, etc.
These capabilities determine whether the automation system can actually be put into operation.
According to exhibition information, the S-FACTORY exhibition area covers an area of 20,000 square meters and is expected to attract approximately 40,000 professional visitors, including approximately 3,000 overseas visitors.
Through the “eight exhibition linkage”, visitors can also visit the Asia Embodied Intelligent Robot Application Exhibition, Semiconductor Packaging and Testing Exhibition, etc. at the same time, with a total scale of 180,000 square meters, linking more than 3,600 exhibiting companies.
The exhibition will focus on linking buyers in application industries such as consumer electronics, semiconductors, automotive electronics, new energy, warehousing and logistics, among which a high proportion of professional visitors with purchasing decision-making power will provide an efficient platform for supply and demand docking between equipment vendors, software vendors and manufacturing companies.

In the layout of China’s automation exhibitions, the China International Industrial Fair (CIIF, referred to as “Shanghai Industry Fair”) held in Shanghai every autumn is another peak that is difficult to avoid.
As one of the oldest and largest comprehensive industrial exhibitions in China, the CIIF covers multiple professional exhibition areas such as industrial automation, robotics, metal processing, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, and new materials.
Its industrial automation exhibition and robot exhibition have always been the focus of the industry, bringing together a full range of products from PLC, servo drives, inverters to industrial robots, collaborative robots, machine vision, industrial software and other products.
Compared with S-FACTORY EXPO, the advantage of Shanghai Industry Fair is its wider industry coverage – not only limited to electronic manufacturing, but also in-depth into multiple discrete manufacturing fields such as automotive parts, mechanical equipment, home appliances, medical equipment, and new energy.
Its audience is more diverse, ranging from engineering and procurement personnel in the electronics industry to decision-makers from other manufacturing industries.

However, this “large and comprehensive” positioning also means that visitors who focus on electronic manufacturing, especially SMT, semiconductor packaging and testing, and PCBA back-end assembly, need to screen the exhibitors and solutions related to themselves in the huge exhibition hall.
S-FACTORY EXPO just fills this segmentation gap – it takes electronic manufacturing as the core anchor, and all display contents are centered around the automation pain points of electronic factories. Visitors can efficiently complete solution selection and business negotiations in a more concentrated space.

In general, the Shanghai Industry Fair represents the “breadth” and “comprehensiveness” of automation technology in the pan-industrial field, and is suitable for equipment manufacturers and manufacturing companies who want to find new technologies and develop new application scenarios across industries.
Shenzhen S-FACTORY EXPO represents the “depth” and “professionalism” of automation technology in the vertical field of electronic manufacturing, and is more suitable for companies that have clearly focused on upgrading electronic production lines and hope to quickly find practical solutions.
For procurement leaders and engineering leaders in the electronics manufacturing industry, the two exhibitions are not substitutes, but complementary relationships: going to the Shanghai Industry Fair in the first half of the year or early autumn can help you grasp the cross-industry trends and cutting-edge innovations in automation technology at a macro level; visiting Shenzhen S-FACTORY at the end of October can focus on the production line collaboration, smart warehousing and industrial software applications of electronic manufacturing itself, completing the closed loop from “seeing trends” to “implementation selection”.
Two cities and two positionings jointly provide Chinese electronics manufacturing companies with a complete annual technology inspection route from general to special, from trends to implementation.
