“I used to work on a two-drum molding machine, and I could do 50 pieces a day. Now with the new equipment, I can do 150 to 160 pieces a day on the three-drum molding machine. “We have replaced internal mixers, molding machines, automatic cloth wrapping machines, four-drum thermal paste machines, and automatic palletizers from the production end. By introducing these intelligent equipment, we have greatly reduced energy consumption in the production process.” Lu Shengying, deputy general manager of Shandong Jinyu Tire Co., Ltd. said.
While promoting digital intelligence, Jinyu Tire regards refined energy management as the core of cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
The company has introduced an advanced energy management control system to conduct integrated monitoring and optimization of energy consumption in all aspects from mixing, molding to vulcanization.
“Our company has established and improved the energy management system and other related production process controls, and formed integrated management with the digital-related systems implemented in the early stage, achieving comprehensive management innovation and reducing energy consumption at the same time.” Lu Shengying said.

Jinyu Tire took the lead in completing the upgrade of flue gas treatment facilities in the industry in 2020, and pollutant emissions from each process reached the provincial environmental performance evaluation level B standard.
On this basis, the company continues to deploy green energy and will build a distributed photovoltaic project in 2024 to inject clean power into production operations.
“The introduction of this green energy reduces the consumption of traditional energy. The construction of this distributed photovoltaic project reduces traditional electricity consumption by about 25 million kilowatt hours and can reduce carbon emissions by about 15,000 tons per year.” Lu Shengying said.
