Seven departments, including the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, recently jointly issued the “Shandong Province Machinery and Power Equipment Industry Stabilization and Growth Work Plan,” which focuses on six key areas: industrial machine tools, agricultural machinery, construction machinery, robots, instruments and meters, and power equipment. Shandong has clearly set development goals, adhering to coordinated efforts on both the supply and demand sides, accelerating the promotion and application of equipment, and striving to achieve a main business revenue of over 400 billion yuan in the six key areas by the end of 2026, initially establishing an innovation-driven, complete high-quality development system for the machinery and power equipment industry.
In terms of innovation, Shandong will strongly support enterprises in jointly building manufacturing innovation centers, key laboratories, and other innovation platforms with universities and research institutes in the six key areas.
Collaborative research will be conducted on fundamental and key technologies such as high-precision spindles, intelligent electronic control systems, embodied intelligent large-scale models, new energy storage, and nanometer-level precision detection. Simultaneously, the construction of pilot-scale verification platforms will be promoted, and pilot-scale bases will be established in fields such as industrial machine tools, robots, intelligent testing equipment, and power equipment to bridge the “last mile” of technology transfer. Furthermore, efforts will be made to connect with national major science and technology projects and key R&D programs to attract more innovative resources to Shandong. In terms of industrial collaboration, leveraging the equipment upgrade needs of automobile manufacturing, energy equipment, and electronic information, Shandong will deepen the collaboration between OEMs and application units to promote the stability of existing industry sectors. For common weaknesses in industries such as high-end bearings, precision sensors, and industrial software, a comprehensive industrial chain investment map and demand list will be drawn up to attract and cultivate a number of “gap-filling” enterprises. Relying on the industrial advantages of collaborative robots, special robots, and core components of reducers, the scale of the robot industry will continue to be consolidated. In terms of application and promotion, Shandong has taken multiple measures. On the one hand, it promotes the application of advanced and applicable agricultural machinery and equipment, drives the application of intelligent medical and health care equipment such as medical robots, accelerates the implementation of major projects such as large-scale onshore wind power and photovoltaic bases, offshore wind power, and coastal nuclear power, and promotes the large-scale application of intelligent equipment in the automotive, electronics, aerospace, and power equipment industries. On the other hand, it develops new business forms and models such as the silver economy, smart logistics, and smart agriculture, using the new demands of intelligent equipment to drive new development in the industry. In general, the plan issued by Shandong this time covers multiple levels such as innovation, collaboration, and application, comprehensively promoting the development of the machinery and power equipment industry. Through a series of powerful measures, it is expected to achieve the goal of exceeding 400 billion yuan in main business revenue in six key areas, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of Shandong’s economy. This will not only help elevate Shandong’s position in the national electromechanical equipment sector, but will also contribute Shandong’s strength to the development of China’s electromechanical equipment industry.
