On June 2, the closing ceremony of the “Belt and Road” National New Energy Machinery Equipment Manufacturing and Maintenance Training Course, hosted by Shenyang Normal University and supported by teachers from Shenyang Engineering College, was successfully held in Shenyang.
Xu Kai, deputy dean of the International Business Officials Training Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, Wang Yuping, deputy director of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce, Tong Yuping, vice president of Shenyang Normal University, Wang Guohui, president of Shenyang Institute of Technology, and Zhang Xiuli, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, attended the ceremony.
26 foreign students from 8 countries and representatives of some teachers and students of the school participated in the event.
Xu Kai congratulated the training course on its successful completion. He affirmed that the training was an innovative approach that breaks away from the one-way teaching model and shares development experience based on China’s practice, which can effectively help countries explore development paths suitable for themselves based on their national conditions.
He hoped that all trainees would cherish the training opportunity, actively spread China’s development achievements after returning to China, take the initiative to serve as envoys of friendship between China and foreign countries, continue to deepen long-term and pragmatic bilateral cooperation, work together to build a harmonious world of lasting peace and common prosperity, and help build a community with a shared future for mankind.
Wang Yuping fully affirmed the complementary advantages and collaborative training model and effectiveness of the two schools.
She pointed out that Liaoning has a profound industrial heritage and a solid foundation in the energy industry, and is deeply integrated into the development pattern of the joint construction of the “Belt and Road”. She hopes to use this training as a link to continue to deepen the pragmatic cooperation between Liaoning and the co-building countries in the fields of new energy technology, talent cultivation, and industrial docking, solidly promote the construction of the green “Belt and Road”, and achieve multilateral mutual benefit, win-win, and coordinated development.
Tong Yuping highly affirmed the school’s full-scale co-organizing and professional teaching support work.
She said that this training is rich in format and content is in line with the actual industry. It not only builds a bridge for students to connect with Chinese companies and experts in depth, but also provides useful exploration for people-to-people exchanges.
She encouraged the training teachers to sum up their experience and continue to improve their training capabilities and levels.
On behalf of Shenyang Institute of Technology, Wang Guohui expressed his gratitude to the competent authorities at all levels and Shenyang Normal University for their guidance and support, and congratulated the students from various countries on their successful graduation.
He introduced in detail the school’s achievements in the energy field over the past seven decades, pointing out that the school not only provides intellectual support for the country’s “double carbon” goal, but also cultivates a large number of high-quality application talents for the development of regional new energy industries.
He hopes that all trainees will make full use of the technological achievements they have learned to empower the upgrading of the country’s new energy industry, continue to deepen Sino-foreign green energy cooperation, and jointly draw a new blueprint for the green “Belt and Road” development.
South African trainee representative Tswagon Gosietsile spoke on behalf of all trainees.
He sincerely thanked the Chinese government, competent authorities at all levels, the two universities, cooperative enterprises and all teaching teachers and staff for their careful arrangements and careful guidance.
He said that through systematic theoretical study, practical training and benchmarking enterprise study, he had personally experienced the advanced technology and development results of China’s new energy industry, and effectively improved his professional skills.
During the training period, trainees from various countries learned from each other and forged deep friendships, building a bridge for transnational energy exchange and collaboration.
At the ceremony, the leaders present issued completion certificates to 26 students.
The trainees have expressed that they will cherish the results of this training, apply what they have learned after returning home, promote the development of the country’s new energy industry based on their positions, be practitioners of Sino-foreign friendship, and contribute to global green energy transformation and sustainable development.
During the training, Shenyang Institute of Technology established a special teaching team, adopting a teaching model that combines theoretical teaching, practical training, and company visits to accurately match the technical learning needs of students.
In the future, the school will continue to give full play to its advantages in energy and electric power disciplines, actively participate in international training and international cooperation in the field of new energy, continue to export high-quality educational resources and technical services, help jointly build and upgrade the national new energy industry, and contribute to deepening friendly cooperation between China and foreign countries and promoting global green and low-carbon development.
