Municipal Intellectual Property Office helps Anshan’s cross-border e-commerce companies “go global” and injects intellectual property “boost”

To address the intellectual property challenges faced by Anshan’s cross-border e-commerce enterprises as they expand into international markets, the Municipal Intellectual Property Office has initiated a targeted collaboration with the Anshan Cross-Border E-Commerce Association, outlining three key areas of cooperation to help "Made in Anshan" products reach the global stage.

In order to solve the intellectual property problems faced by local cross-border e-commerce companies on their way to “going overseas” and make them more confident and more compliant when going overseas, relevant staff from the Municipal Intellectual Property Office recently took the initiative to visit Anshan Cross-border E-commerce Association to carry out special work docking and communicate face-to-face with the person in charge of the association, injecting intellectual property “boost” into Anshan’s cross-border e-commerce “going overseas”.

During the exchange and discussion, the relevant person in charge of the Anshan Cross-border E-commerce Association introduced in detail the recent development of the association, the composition of member companies, and the overall operating situation of the industry. They also focused on the “annoying issues” encountered by Anshan cross-border e-commerce companies in the field of intellectual property in the process of “going overseas.”
As cross-border e-commerce has become a new engine for foreign trade growth, companies’ overseas business is getting bigger and bigger, but problems such as trademark preemption and patent infringement have also followed. These “stumbling blocks” not only cause companies to suffer losses, but also restrict their expansion into overseas markets.

Facing the “urgency, difficulty, and anxiety” faced by enterprises, the relevant staff of the Municipal Intellectual Property Office listened carefully and took careful notes. They did not preach empty words. Instead, they combined the new situation and changes in the current cross-border e-commerce intellectual property protection and comprehensively interpreted the knowledge in easy-to-understand language.
The relevant policies on property rights to support the development of cross-border e-commerce introduce the “hard measures” and “good resources” of the Municipal Intellectual Property Office in the creation, protection, application and service of intellectual property, and provide a “practical guide” for enterprises to solve overseas intellectual property problems and avoid infringement risks.

A frank docking formed a consensus and laid a solid foundation for subsequent service companies.
The two parties have clarified three major directions for cooperation: first, to build a “connecting bridge” and establish a normalized communication and docking mechanism, and sit together regularly to communicate, timely understand the development trends of the industry, grasp the actual needs of enterprises, and make services more accurate; second, provide “compulsory courses” and carry out targeted intellectual property training, focusing on the most troublesome intellectual property pains when enterprises “go overseas”.
Points and difficulties, customized exclusive training courses to enhance the company’s awareness of intellectual property protection and practical capabilities; the third is to open up the “last mile”, promote the implementation of intellectual property support policies, take the initiative to enter the association’s member companies, explain the policies thoroughly, provide benefits in place, guide companies to deepen independent innovation, and build a strong intellectual property “protective shield” from the source.

This face-to-face meeting not only broke down the communication barriers between government departments and industry associations, but also realized the fit between intellectual property services and the needs of enterprises to “go overseas”.
The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Intellectual Property Office said that they will use this docking as a starting point to continue to optimize service measures, refine service content, keep a close eye on the pain points of enterprises “going overseas”, accurately match service resources, and make every effort to protect the healthy and orderly development of Anshan’s cross-border e-commerce industry, and help more “Made in Anshan” ride on the east wind of cross-border e-commerce and confidently move to the world stage.
