In Langfang in June, the heat is gradually rising, but Langfang Linkong International Convention and Exhibition Center is still crowded with people.
On the morning of June 16, the 2026 China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair (hereinafter referred to as the “Langfang Economic and Trade Fair”) opened here.
On this stage, cross-border e-commerce is a hot topic. Chinese and foreign guests gathered together to discuss a series of hot issues ranging from AI empowerment to industry overseas, from trusted trade to global compliance. Ideas collided and high-level discussions were held.

On the afternoon of June 16, the multi-functional hall on the third floor of Langfang Linkong International Convention and Exhibition Center was packed with seats.
The important meeting of this Langfang Economic and Trade Fair – the 2026 Cross-border E-commerce Development Conference was held here.
With the theme of “Building a Trustworthy Trade Mechanism to Help Brands Go Global”, the conference invited leaders from international organizations and industry business associations, foreign business representatives in China, and representatives from well-known cross-border e-commerce service companies Digital China Holdings Co., Ltd. Smart Supply Chain Group, Dun & Bradstreet and other institutions to speak at the conference.
The guests attending the meeting interpreted industry trends, judged market trends, and understood development pain points from their own perspectives.
“China has entered a new stage of opening up to the outside world, and its economic and trade exchanges with foreign countries are changing from complementary cooperation to competitive cooperation.” During the keynote speech, Jiang Xiaojuan, a professor at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and director of the Economic and Trade Policy Expert Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Commerce, proposed that my country’s overseas enterprises are facing a higher level of global competition. At present, they must pay more attention to industrial chain reorganization capabilities and the application of digital intelligence technology to quickly meet the iterative needs of the global market.
Zhang Hupo, chief technology officer of Digital China Holdings Co., Ltd. Smart Supply Chain Group, agrees with Jiang Xiaojuan’s point of view. He looks at the challenges faced by cross-border e-commerce companies from a more technical perspective: “In a sense, the most pressing issue for cross-border e-commerce companies is how to make good use of AI technology. AI can help people analyze massive industry data and more accurately solve the difficulty of product selection and planning.
Avoid unknown risks and other issues, and quickly improve market response capabilities.” Zhang Hupo believes that although AI technology is not very mature, it has already shown huge advantages in intelligent computing, and its early application in the field of corporate decision-making will “certainly help overseas companies take the lead and take the lead.”
What attracted the attention of the participants was that the “2025 China Cross-border E-commerce Annual Development Report” was released at the conference.
The report shows that global cross-border e-commerce transactions will reach US$3.6 trillion in 2025, and China’s cross-border e-commerce market will reach 18.68 trillion yuan, of which the export cross-border e-commerce market will reach 14.36 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.78%.
The four core driving forces of AI technology empowerment, deep integration of industrial belts, upgrading of content and business formats, and overseas expansion of independent brands are reshaping the core competitiveness of China’s cross-border e-commerce.
The report also focuses on Hebei as a typical case in the northern region for in-depth analysis, pointing out that Hebei relies on six comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zones and characteristic industrial clusters throughout the province to create a highly distinctive “cross-border e-commerce + industrial cluster” development model and become an important engine for the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade.
On June 17, the “Silk Road E-commerce” (Hebei) government-enterprise dialogue was also held at Langfang Linkong International Convention and Exhibition Center.
With the theme of “Digital Intelligence Empowerment, Connecting the Silk Road”, the dialogue will further promote the digital transformation of Hebei’s industries through policy interpretation, case sharing and other forms, help small and medium-sized enterprises to deeply connect with cross-border platforms, and provide solid support for the high-quality development of Hebei’s cross-border e-commerce.
Liu Hongyan, general manager of Hebei Bodao Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park, said that Hebei continues to cultivate and expand leading e-commerce companies and helps small, medium and micro enterprises to team up and go overseas, which makes her more confident in the future of cross-border e-commerce.
If cross-border e-commerce is a new blue ocean, then Hebei’s confidence comes from its solid manufacturing background.
In the “2025 China Cross-border E-commerce Annual Development Report”, Hebei’s “cross-border e-commerce + industrial cluster” model was focused on analysis.
This is not praise that comes out of thin air. Hebei relies on the local manufacturing advantages brought by characteristic industrial clusters to create export clusters with different characteristics: Shijiazhuang focuses on clothing, home furnishings and food, Tangshan focuses on ceramics, steel and equipment manufacturing, Langfang focuses on furniture and small household appliances, Qinhuangdao is deeply involved in food and agricultural products…
Qinghe cashmere industry is the most convincing footnote.
In the first quarter of 2025, Qinghe cashmere yarn exports reached US$100 million, a year-on-year increase of 20.82%.
What is more noteworthy is that with the help of the industrial cluster branding strategy, the unit price of Qinghe cashmere terminal brand products has increased by 73.57% – successfully promoting Hebei manufacturing from “selling raw materials” to “selling brands”.
The luggage industry in Baigou New Town has taken another path.
This nationally renowned northern luggage distribution center relies on the “E-commerce Industry High-Quality Development Action Plan” to sell luggage in 199 countries and regions around the world, with an annual output value of nearly 50 billion yuan.
Today, Baigou New Town Luggage Live E-commerce Center has been selected as a national-level innovation case for China’s new e-commerce development in 2024-2025, forming a new model of “cross-border live broadcast + industrial cluster”.
“Our company has been deeply involved in the foreign trade market for many years. After participating in the ‘E-commerce Industry High-Quality Development Action Plan’, we have opened stores on SHEIN and Shopee platforms and promoted our own brands to expand into the global market.” Tan Haitao, general manager of Hebei Dannoson Luggage Manufacturing Co., Ltd. from Baigou New City, said that in the past, he relied on offline overseas exhibitions to get orders, and had to travel to seven or eight countries a year to develop customers.
After the company used the cross-border live broadcast room to directly face global buyers and consumers, the order-taking efficiency has more than doubled, and its overseas popularity and reputation have also been rapidly improved. “Today, the company’s overseas trade volume has climbed to 60%, and the future is even more promising.”

In this year’s Langfang Economic and Trade Fair Exhibition Hall, for the first time, 9 shared live broadcast rooms were set up for exhibitors, and a total of 81 special live broadcasts were carried out.
From Baigou Xincheng bags to Xinji leather, from Pingxiang bicycles to Hejian craft glass, Made in Hebei has a broader display, docking and trading platform.
The improvement of infrastructure is reshaping the underlying competitiveness of Hebei’s cross-border e-commerce.
At present, the number of 5G base stations in Hebei Province has increased from approximately 53,000 in 2021 to 200,000 in 2025, achieving 5G network coverage in all districts and cities, the main urban areas of Xiongan New District and key towns; smart ports, smart highways, smart objects
The construction of new infrastructure such as streaming is also continuing to accelerate; the AI application penetration rate of enterprises in the province has also increased from 1% in 2021 to 35% in 2025. In the field of cross-border e-commerce, AI translation, intelligent customer service and content generation have become standard.
Changes in express delivery volume are more evidence of the changes brought about by infrastructure improvements.
Hebei Province’s express delivery business volume will increase from 4.14 billion items in 2021 to 11.96 billion items in 2025.
Today, Hebei is the fourth major express delivery province in the country with an annual express delivery business volume exceeding 10 billion.
In the first quarter of this year, Hebei’s express delivery business volume continued to rank fourth in the country.
During the Langfang Economic and Trade Fair in 2024, the “three centers” consisting of the global cross-border e-commerce ecological cluster center, the global cross-border e-commerce transaction service center, and the global cross-border e-commerce digital supply chain center were launched in Langfang.
The “Three Centers” is an industrial comprehensive service platform led by the Daxing International Airport Airport Economic Zone (Langfang) Management Committee. It adopts the strategy of “revitalizing the stock and increasing the increase” to provide cross-border e-commerce enterprises in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region with full-chain services from ecology to transactions to supply chain.
Since its operation for two years, the “Three Centers” have gathered many international leading cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Shopee, and gradually built an ecosystem of “platform empowerment + business incubation + talent training + industrial belt docking”.
In 2025, the “Three Centers” introduced Russian e-commerce platforms Ozon and Wildberries to deploy warehouses in Gu’an and Yongqing to help products exported to Russia achieve rapid collection, warehousing, and transportation integration, and improve the supply chain of cross-border e-commerce to Russia.
Hebei Province’s foreign trade development pattern with complete facilities, concentrated platforms, and smooth links has taken shape, and is accelerating to help more and more high-quality Yanzhao products be exported to the world.
