Recently, the latest data from the Henan Provincial Taxation Bureau shows that in 2025, cross-border e-commerce companies in Henan Province will handle export tax refunds exceeding 100 million yuan. The cross-border e-commerce industry is showing a good trend in terms of corporate vitality, export scale, business structure, commodity categories, and export markets.

The vitality of business entities bursts.
As of the end of 2025, Henan Province had approximately 3,126 cross-border e-commerce companies registered with the customs, ranking 8th in the country and first among the six central provinces. There were 1,035 cross-border e-commerce companies with export performance throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of 54.5%.
The active participation of many enterprises has injected strong impetus into the development of cross-border e-commerce in Henan, and also reflects the good development prospects and attractiveness of this industry in the local area.
The scale of exports has increased steadily.
The province’s cross-border e-commerce export volume will reach US$3.359 billion in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 23.7%.
In terms of regional distribution, the seven cities of Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Nanyang, Jiaozuo, Xuchang, Kaifeng and Xinxiang have developed rapidly relying on the advantages of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone platform. Their combined export volume accounts for 95.2% of the province’s total, of which Zhengzhou and Xuchang’s export volume exceeds a quarter of the province’s total.
This shows that these regions have obvious advantages in the field of cross-border e-commerce, and their development models and experiences are worth learning from other regions.

The business structure continues to be optimized.
In terms of enterprise types, foreign trade enterprises accounted for 63.7%, highlighting their dominant position.
Manufacturing enterprises accounted for 30.4%, and the echelon structure became more reasonable.
In terms of industry structure, the three major fields of wholesale and retail, manufacturing, and business services occupy a dominant position, with the wholesale and retail industry growing by 174.4% year-on-year.
This optimized business structure will help improve the overall competitiveness of the industry and promote the sustainable development of cross-border e-commerce.
The product categories are rich and diverse.
Wigs and hair products are the core export categories, accounting for 30.48%, and their dominant position is stable.
The remaining small and medium-sized export categories show the characteristics of “multi-category high growth”, and the growth rate of sub-categories such as knitted textile accessories, daily consumer goods, instruments and equipment is outstanding.
The rich product categories meet the needs of consumers in different countries and regions, and also provide more opportunities for Henan’s cross-border e-commerce to explore the international market.
The export market continues to expand.
The province’s cross-border e-commerce exports cover more than 50 countries and regions.
ASEAN is the largest export destination, with five countries including Thailand and Malaysia accounting for more than 14% in total; the traditional markets in Europe and the United States are steadily developing, with the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and other countries showing good growth rates; the countries jointly building the “Belt and Road” have become a new blue ocean for growth, and India, Poland and other countries have strong growth momentum.
The continuous expansion of the export market has reduced dependence on a single market and improved the risk resistance of Henan’s cross-border e-commerce.
Overall, Henan’s cross-border e-commerce has achieved remarkable results in 2025, and is expected to continue to maintain a good development momentum in the future and make greater contributions to Chinese products going global.
