“Sixty years ago, China’s first wheel loader Z435 rolled off the production line in Liuzhou City, Guangxi, ending the history of China’s inability to produce loaders independently. Sixty years later, Liugong’s 600,000th loader, a pure electric loader 8110TE, will go to the front line of the mines.” Zheng Jin, chairman of Guangxi Liugong Group Co., Ltd., said recently in Liuzhou City.
On May 31, the 2026 LiuGong 5.28 Global Customer Festival kicked off, and LiuGong’s 600,000th loader was delivered to overseas customers on site.
This Customer Festival attracted more than 1,200 guests from more than 50 countries and regions.
In the Liugong Excavator Smart Factory, 5G smart production lines, AGV logistics, robot welding and assembly and other scenarios allowed foreign guests to experience the charm of China’s smart manufacturing up close.
On the same day, LiuGong released a full-scenario electro-smart digital solution, covering various power routes such as pure electric, hybrid, towing, and battery swapping, as well as core technologies such as Xuanjia batteries and electric drive axles.
Among them, the independently developed smart mine management system 4.0 uses “5G + artificial intelligence + Beidou technology” to realize visual management and control and intelligent scheduling of entire mine production, increasing operating efficiency by more than 20%.
“Only through innovation can we strengthen ourselves.” Zheng Jin said that in recent years, Liugong has grasped the wave of electrification, intelligence, and unmanned technology, and continued to increase investment in research and development during the trough period of the industry.
From the world’s first pure electric loader to 5G remote control and driverless mine loaders, Liugong drives industrial upgrading with new productivity.
Data show that Liugong’s operating revenue will increase from 28.9 billion yuan in 2021 to more than 33 billion yuan in 2025, with overseas revenue accounting for nearly 50%.
In more than 180 countries and regions, LiuGong has established more than 500 dealers, more than 40 overseas subsidiaries, more than 20 manufacturing bases and 17 R&D bases.
From “exporting products overseas” to “exporting standards and models overseas”, Liugong is becoming China’s “intelligent manufacturing” business card to the world.
