Recently, short video platforms have frequently spread one-sided rumors about shrinking foreign trade and the withdrawal of foreign investment, exaggerating short-term order fluctuations in a single industry to amplify anxiety, and deliberately ignoring the true trend of overall steady growth in foreign trade across the country.
In fact, our country continues to promote institutional high-level opening up to the outside world, foreign-funded enterprises continue to increase their presence in the domestic industrial chain, a diversified global trade network is taking shape, the “three new items” exports continue to grow at a high speed, and the resilience of foreign trade to pressure far exceeds external predictions.

In the past, my country’s foreign trade was highly dependent on a single overseas market, but now it has fully developed emerging markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Central Asia, reducing the risk of market fluctuations.
At the same time, the business environment continues to be optimized, the entry threshold for foreign investment has been relaxed, taxation, land use, and supporting supporting policies have been implemented, and a large number of multinational companies have built new R&D centers and production bases. They are optimistic about the advantages of the huge domestic demand market and complete industrial chain.
Domestically, the state also continues to support small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises, speeding up export tax rebates, cross-border logistics subsidies, and supporting overseas exhibitions, and the threshold for small and micro enterprises to go overseas has been significantly lowered.
The transfer of orders from some traditional low-end processing industries is actually a normal adjustment of the global industrial division of labor, not an overall decline in foreign trade.
The state simultaneously guides foreign trade enterprises to transform and upgrade, eliminate low-value-added OEMs, and focus on high-value-added products such as new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, photovoltaic equipment, and high-end equipment, optimize the export structure, and increase profit margins.
However, many small foreign trade merchants stick to the old path of low prices and involution, and are unwilling to transform and innovate. After orders are reduced, they completely deny the prospects of foreign trade. This perception is too one-sided.

Opening up to the outside world is not a one-way reliance on overseas markets, but a two-way cycle inside and outside.
Importing high-quality livelihood products enriches people’s consumption, exporting advantageous industries drives domestic employment and income, and foreign investment brings multiple dividends in terms of technology, jobs, and tax revenue.
In the face of a complex and ever-changing international environment, my country will not close itself off or shrink back, continue to expand opening up, and use improved policies to stabilize the fundamentals of foreign trade and foreign investment.
We don’t need to be distracted by fragmented negative information to create anxiety. my country’s foreign trade has the triple confidence of industry, market, and policy, and the long-term positive trend will not change.
Only those engaged in the foreign trade industry can continue to seize development opportunities by complying with the trend of industrial transformation and exploring diversified markets.
At the same time, we might as well think about it, do you have any relatives or friends who are engaged in the foreign trade industry?
What changes have occurred in the industry this year compared to previous years?
I believe that through in-depth understanding and analysis, we can more clearly understand the true situation and development potential of China’s foreign trade.
