In April 2026, China’s mining machinery industry showed a booming development, with many companies making important breakthroughs in different fields.

Recently, the Zoomlion ultra-large mining machinery intelligent manufacturing project undertaken by Minmetals 23rd Metallurgical Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony.
Yuan Ye, Vice President of Zoomlion and General Manager of the Mining Machinery Company, and Deng Haiping, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Minmetals No. 23 Metallurgy, attended the ceremony.
The project is located east of Yingai Road and south of Baishi East Road in Xiangtan Economic Development Zone, covering a total area of 879 acres. It will be upgraded to create a world-leading mining machinery intelligent park integrating R&D, manufacturing, testing and services.
After the project is completed, it will become a benchmark for the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Tan construction machinery industry and inject new momentum into Hunan’s world-class construction machinery industry cluster.
Yuan Ye said in his speech that mining machinery is a strategic emerging sector that Zoomlion is focusing on. This ultra-large mining machinery intelligent manufacturing project carries the mission of strengthening the mining machinery sector and creating a benchmark for intelligent manufacturing in the industry.
At the same time, the 4th China (Xi’an) International Mining Equipment and Technology Exhibition was held grandly in Xi’an. Proton Motors made a strong debut with Qingxiao 110-ton wide-body mining truck and Dijiang 400-degree charging tractor.
Qingxiao’s 110-ton wide-body mining truck is newly designed for the mine transportation market, highlighting the three major advantages of mine transportation: high safety, high reliability, and intelligent development. It is equipped with a special power battery for the Ningde Times mining version and a green-controlled high-efficiency motor. It is matched with a special axle for the Hande mine and an integrated welded frame. The power output is majestic and reliable, and it is not afraid of heavy-load transportation on rough road sections.

In terms of technical cooperation, Lingong mining cards equipped with Micromacro high-performance battery products have been launched in batches.
This cooperation is based on the industry’s demand for the electrification of mining vehicles. Micromacro Power demonstrated its 53.5Ah battery cell specially designed for commercial vehicles and special vehicles. The battery cell has long cycle life and high operating efficiency, which can meet the high-intensity operation requirements of SDLG mining trucks and can effectively reduce the total cost of vehicle ownership.
The battery adopts a modular design, which simplifies the installation and maintenance process.
This batch implementation provides a new electrification solution for harsh operating scenarios such as mines. It aims to solve the problem of battery life and promote the transformation of mining equipment into green and low-carbon. It is of great significance to the deepening of electrification cooperation between the two parties.
Good news also came from Fast Group. On April 10, 2026, its new medium- and heavy-duty electric drive assembly project with an annual output of 120,000 units was put into production.
The total investment in the project is nearly 300 million yuan, and the group’s total production capacity will reach 250,000 units per year after reaching production.
Its special 3-speed and 4-speed powertrains for mining trucks have been used in batches in many large-scale mines in China to meet severe working conditions such as heavy loads and hill climbing.
The core product “Fast Lanchi FS6E270” uses a rated 465kW high-power flat wire motor, which can increase the vehicle’s battery life by more than 20%, effectively solving the pain points of “short battery life and weak power” of new energy heavy trucks.
In 2025, Fast’s new energy transmission sales will exceed 80,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 243.9%, and a total of more than 300 new energy-related patents have been obtained.
This expansion will further consolidate its leading position in the field of electric drive for commercial vehicles and provide key technical equipment for the green transformation of mining transportation.
In addition, on April 15, 2026, at the 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), Xingaonai Group, a benchmark enterprise in the field of mining machinery in China, presented its core technologies and products.
The group focused on displaying its cone crusher equipment, various metal ore beneficiation processes and the overall process of the sand and gravel production line, aiming to provide global customers with complete, efficient and intelligent sand and gravel and mining processing solutions from raw material processing to finished product output.
The response on the first day of the exhibition was enthusiastic, attracting many customers from different countries and regions to stop for exchanges and negotiations.
Through a combination of equipment display and on-site professional explanations, the Xingaonai team presented its technology-driven and customer demand-oriented product and service concepts.
This exhibition aims to further expand the global market through the international platform of the Canton Fair, establish connections with more partners, and jointly explore the development space of the mining industry.
