Guangdong Construction Machinery was established in 1969. In 2022, it integrated the main business of Guangdong Jianghai Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Co., Ltd. After reorganization, it has four main business sectors: mechanical equipment manufacturing and installation, steel structure manufacturing and installation, machinery leasing and services, and personnel training.

The platform uses “5G+AI+IoT” as the core engine, combines intelligent hardware, and uses cloud-edge-end collaboration to build the country’s first intelligent safety management and control platform for construction machinery covering “full life cycle-full process-all elements” through cloud-edge-end collaboration and a “data-driven + process closed-loop” model, promoting in-depth collaboration between the digitalization of the construction machinery industry and construction safety.
The 5G smart inspection vehicle independently developed by Guangdong Construction Machinery is the ground mobile smart command center of Guangdong Construction Machinery’s safety management platform.
This special vehicle is functionally and intelligently modified based on the Ford Transit T8. It is equipped with multiple systems such as a power emergency system, a communication system, a video system, and a drone inspection system. It is an innovative product of the 5G intelligent inspection vehicle.
As an important carrier of the strategic transformation of Guangdong Construction Machinery, the construction intelligent equipment sector has quickly built a service system covering the entire chain from demand analysis, solution design, customized development to delivery and operation and maintenance, based on the integration of the company’s technological research and development, intelligent construction and other advantageous resources.

The forklift robot is the first multi-scenario intelligent aerial work equipment independently developed by Guangdong Construction Machinery. The intelligent construction elevator is equipped with a vertical logistics dispatching system, which can automatically interact with construction robots to achieve barrier-free cross-floor traffic, significantly improving transportation efficiency; it supports 24-hour automatic operation, does not require a full-time driver, saves 2 people per shift, and has high traffic efficiency.
The equipment is equipped with a safety management system and face and number of people recognition functions to prevent overcrowding. It also has smart management functions such as intelligent parking elevators, fault prediction, and maintenance forecasts to achieve full-cycle safety supervision.
As one of the four core projects of the Guangdong Construction Engineering Construction Technology Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, the construction intelligent equipment R&D and manufacturing base will be built into a national-level construction machinery equipment intelligent manufacturing benchmark base and comprehensive management and digital safety control platform to build a “R&D-production-service-training” full life cycle intelligent management system, with hydraulic metal structures, steel structures, construction robots, etc. as the main products.
The base is expected to be officially put into production in 2027, with a production capacity of 60,000 tons. Once completed, it will vigorously promote the transformation of Guangdong Construction Machinery into intelligent manufacturing, intelligent safety management and control, and intelligent service models.
