From January to April 2026, the cross-border e-commerce industry in Wencheng County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province ushered in a major explosion.
Data show that during this period, the export volume was 140 million yuan (RMB, the same below), a year-on-year increase of 238.7%.
As a key hometown of overseas Chinese in the country, Wencheng has 231,000 overseas Chinese in more than 70 countries and regions around the world, and has established a trade network with diverse channels and global coverage.
Driven by cross-border e-commerce, the county’s total foreign trade exports grew by 57.8% during the same period, ranking first in Wenzhou City.
