Recently, two national smart manufacturing demonstration plants, Qingdao Senkylin Tire Co., Ltd. and FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. Qingdao Branch, were announced and successfully passed national acceptance.
This achievement fully demonstrates the digital and intelligent development level of the two pillar industries of automobiles and tires in Jimo District, Qingdao City, and is also a strong confirmation of the accelerated intelligent transformation of the local manufacturing industry.
The national acceptance standards are strict and comprehensively evaluate multiple dimensions such as intelligent production and supply chain collaboration.
As a benchmark enterprise in the tire industry, Qingdao Senkylin Tire has built a high-end tire full-process digital collaborative smart factory, independently developed an intelligent management system, opened up 12 sets of business systems, and built a full-link digital architecture that runs through R&D, production, logistics, and services. The company’s key process numerical control rate and equipment networking rate have both achieved 100%, and it has been rated as a national outstanding smart factory.

Volkswagen Co., Ltd. Qingdao Branch focuses on building a world-class smart factory, relying on data to optimize production processes, and has built five innovation centers: smart logistics, smart manufacturing, vehicle delivery, digital quality, and smart parks, forming an industry-leading smart production system.
The company has won many honors, including China’s benchmark smart factory, the first prize in the Shandong Province Intelligent Manufacturing Competition, and the Qingdao Top Ten Digital Economy Achievements Award.
In recent years, the Jimo District Industry and Information Technology Bureau has focused on the development of new industrialization, promoted intelligent manufacturing as its core work, and relied on the leadership of leading enterprises to form a good industrial ecology of “leading leadership and chain collaboration”.
