Recently, the 2026 Cross-border E-commerce Development Conference with the theme of “Building a Trustworthy Trade Mechanism to Help Brands Go Global” was grandly held in Langfang, Hebei.
The conference was co-sponsored by the China Association for Trade in Services and the World Trade Network Alliance, bringing together people from all walks of life from universities, enterprises, associations and other institutions to discuss in depth the development trends and innovation paths of the cross-border e-commerce industry.

Zhang Hupo, chief technology officer of China Holdings Kejie, pointed out in his keynote speech that the current cross-border e-commerce industry is generally in the dilemma of “hanging at the door” with AI technology.
Although most companies have deployed tools such as data visualization screens and AI chatbots, AI has not yet been truly embedded in the business decision-making process.
The fundamental reason is that although enterprises have a large amount of data, they have not fully utilized it. The WMS data of various platform backends and overseas warehouses are idle in the system, and no one conducts in-depth analysis. In terms of processes, although there are systems, they are not connected, and the overseas warehouse systems, platform backends, and first-leg logistics systems are isolated from each other.
This means that in the decision-making stage, AI prediction results cannot effectively affect key decisions such as replenishment and allocation.

In response to the common pain points of these industries, China Holdings launched the “Supply Chain AI Control Tower”.
The control tower adopts a three-layer architecture design. The bottom layer connects overseas warehouses, major e-commerce platform backends, exchange rate and tariff data sources and other system data; the middle-level AI workbench for each position provides decision-making support for core nodes such as demand forecasting and overseas warehouse deployment; the top-level AI control tower provides full-link visibility, collaborative decision-making and attribution feedback capabilities, achieving a major leap from “seeing data” to “assisted decision-making”.
In the demand forecasting process, AI can accurately predict the sales volume of each SKU and each platform in the peak season, replace experience in placing orders and output stocking suggestions for different platforms and warehouses; in the first-leg planning link, AI can optimize sea and air freight schedules and costs, and output the first-leg solution matrix; in the overseas warehouse deployment link, AI can inventory through multiple warehouses
Thermal analysis generates cross-warehouse allocation plans; in the multi-platform replenishment process, AI develops differentiated replenishment strategies and automatically triggers replenishment instructions; in the performance warning process, AI identifies out-of-stock, overage, and return abnormalities in real time and provides disposal plans; in the operation attribution process, AI breaks down the specific impact of exchange rates, logistics, and platform fees on gross profit.
The conference also released the “2025 China Cross-border E-commerce Annual Development Report”. The report shows that the role of China’s cross-border e-commerce service providers is undergoing a fundamental change, from simple back-end support in the early stage to front-end co-creation.
In the cross-border e-commerce scenario, the shipping cycle is as long as 30-45 days, multi-platform inventory rules are different, peak season points are dense, and exchange rate fluctuations directly affect gross profit. These industry characteristics allow a 1% improvement in decision-making quality to be converted into large-scale real money.
Therefore, whether the value of AI can be effectively utilized has become a key factor in determining the outcome of competition.
China Holdings Kejie’s supply chain AI control tower advances the decision-making point from “quarterly review” to “when exceptions occur”, providing solid intelligent support for Chinese brands to go overseas, and helping Chinese brands to build strong competitiveness in the world through a credible, efficient and intelligent supply chain system.
