The concept of cross-border payment has become popular again recently!
Because Cuiwei shares were exposed to this concept, they were heavily speculated by funds and once again stood on the forefront.
But to be honest, Cui Weiqiang is in digital financial technology. If we really want to talk about the “big brother” in the cross-border payment field, we have to look at the following three companies. Their layout along the Belt and Road is called a deep one!

The first company: CNPC Capital – the “national team” of energy finance, the main channel for China-Iran trade
Don’t just look at it as a diversified financial company, behind it is a solid energy background.
Through its subsidiary Kunlun Bank, CNPC Capital has established a financial window and main channel for bilateral economic and trade exchanges between China and Iran.
To put it simply, much of our oil trade and settlement with Iran and other countries along the “Belt and Road” goes through its hands.
The company has long stated that in the process of RMB internationalization, it will actively promote cross-border RMB settlement to serve the main oil and gas industry and ensure national energy security.
This structure and positioning are not comparable to ordinary payment companies.
Recall that in April 2025, as soon as the central bank released a plan to improve cross-border payment facilitation, CNPC Capital directly closed the daily limit of one million lots, which shows its market appeal.
From the weekly chart, the stock price fluctuates upward, and the center of gravity at the bottom continues to rise.
With the recent fluctuations in the situation in the Middle East, it has bucked the trend and strengthened, significantly stronger than the market, a bit like “real gold appears in troubled times”.
Second company: Lakala – the leader in third-party payment, doing business in more than 100 countries
When it comes to Lakala, the first thing people think of may be the little blue POS machine on the street.
But its cross-border payment business has quietly formed a large network covering more than 100 countries around the world.
What’s the point?
Even in Southeast Asia and Africa, the core areas of the Belt and Road Initiative, such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Nigeria, all can receive payments in local currencies.
Data doesn’t lie.
In the first three quarters of 2025, the company’s cross-border payment amount reached 60.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year surge of 77.56%.
This growth rate is quite eye-catching in the entire payment industry.
It is not only a payment tool, but also helps overseas companies solve a full set of problems in collection, payment, and money management through the “payment + SaaS” model.
Technically, it is also very cutting-edge. It is engaged in cross-border settlement of digital renminbi with the Central Bank’s Digital Research Institute. It is said that it can achieve payment in 8 seconds and the handling rate is greatly reduced.
The stock price has been fluctuating on a weekly basis, and has recently returned to the previous support area, showing signs of stopping the decline and rebounding.

The third company: Eternal Asia – a supply chain veteran, using payment to open up the sea route for agricultural products
As the first A-share supply chain listed company, Eternal Asia’s specialty is integrating logistics, information flow and capital flow.
Its cross-border payments are deeply embedded in its supply chain services.
To put it simply, if you import durians and vegetables from me, I will even handle the payment and settlement for you in one stop.
The company made it clear that its cross-border supply chain digital platform has been laid out in advance to support a variety of cross-border online payment methods and specifically serve large and small enterprises in cross-border trade.
Its main battlefield is very special: to help leading domestic agricultural products companies sell fruits and vegetables to Hong Kong, Macao, and the Middle East and other “Belt and Road” countries.
Although the digital renminbi payment scenario has not yet been involved, the company said it will continue to track technical developments.
With a deep state-owned background and a network that has been deeply involved in the supply chain field for many years, its cross-border payment business has unique scenario advantages.
On the weekly chart, the long-term sideways trend since November 2024 has lasted for a year and a half. This long-term momentum is often brewing.
Of these three companies, CNPC Capital is backed by energy strategy, Lakala has payment network and technology, and Eternal Asia is deeply involved in supply chain scenarios. They have all developed their own characteristics on the cross-border payment track.
With the deepening of RMB internationalization and “Belt and Road” cooperation, the story of cross-border payments may have just begun.
Then the question is, of these three “big brothers”, which one do you think is more promising?
Is it CNPC Capital, which holds energy settlement channels, Lakala, which is accelerating its global expansion, or Eternal Asia, which has a unique scenario?
