The Ministry of Commerce is vigorously promoting foreign trade development and building the “Export to China” brand.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce stated that the ministry will implement policies to stabilize foreign trade, drive improvements in both the quality and efficiency of foreign trade across multiple fronts, and continue to build the "Export from China" brand.

In today’s globalized economic landscape, the development of China’s foreign trade has attracted much attention. On December 11, 2025, He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, revealed a series of important measures to promote foreign trade development at a regular press conference, aiming to further enhance the competitiveness and influence of China’s foreign trade.

The Ministry of Commerce clearly stated that it will work with local governments and relevant departments to implement various policies to stabilize foreign trade. This measure acts as a shot in the arm for foreign trade enterprises, providing a solid policy guarantee for their stable development. Actively promoting market diversification is a key step; by exploring more overseas markets and reducing dependence on a single market, trade risks can be effectively mitigated. At the same time, strengthening service guarantees for enterprises in market expansion, providing them with more information, resources, and support, helps them better cope with the challenges of the international market.

Expanding intermediate goods trade and green trade are important directions for promoting innovative trade development. Intermediate goods trade occupies an important position in the global industrial chain. By improving the quality and technological content of intermediate goods, China’s voice in the global industrial chain can be enhanced. Green trade, on the other hand, conforms to the global trend of sustainable development and helps China’s foreign trade find a balance between environmental protection and economic development.

Promoting balanced import and export development is one of the important goals of China’s foreign trade development. Continuously building the “Export to China” brand means improving the quality and image of Chinese goods, making Chinese brands more competitive in the international market. This requires not only continuous innovation and improvement from enterprises themselves, but also the joint support of the government and all sectors of society.

Enhancing the functions of trade promotion platforms and supporting the development of new business forms and models such as cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses are important means to improve the quality and efficiency of foreign trade. The rise of cross-border e-commerce has brought new opportunities to China’s foreign trade, breaking the time and space limitations of traditional trade and enabling more SMEs to participate in international trade. The construction of overseas warehouses can improve the speed of goods delivery and service quality, enhancing the customer shopping experience.

The implementation of these measures will help China’s foreign trade occupy a more advantageous position in the global market. With the continuous development of China’s economy and the expansion of its opening-up, the prospects for China’s foreign trade are very broad. By implementing various policies, promoting innovative trade development, and building the “Export China” brand, China’s foreign trade will usher in new development opportunities.

In future development, Chinese foreign trade enterprises also need to actively adapt to market changes and continuously improve their core competitiveness. Strengthening technological innovation, improving product quality, and expanding sales channels are key to enterprises’ foothold in the international market. At the same time, enterprises also need to pay attention to the dynamics of the international market and policy changes, and adjust their development strategies in a timely manner to cope with various challenges.

In short, these measures by the Ministry of Commerce have pointed the way for the development of China’s foreign trade. It is believed that with the joint efforts of all parties, China’s foreign trade will achieve higher-quality development, and the “Export China” brand will shine even brighter in the global market.
