At the beginning of 2026, the wave of China’s tire industry going overseas will show unprecedented excitement.
From Sichuan to Shandong, from two-wheeler giants to all-steel tire leaders, many companies have intensively announced new overseas investment trends, marking that the global layout of China’s tire industry is accelerating from “single-point water testing” to a new stage of “systematic deep cultivation”.

The new year has started with intensive investments, and the overseas layout has been pressed ‘fast forward’
On January 16, Triangle Tire announced that it plans to invest 3.219 billion yuan to build a new high-performance radial tire production base in Cambodia, with an annual output of 7 million tires.
This is Triangle Tire’s first overseas production base, marking the company’s upgrade from product output to global production operations.
At almost the same time, Sailun Tire (601058.SH) announced an increase in investment and capacity expansion in the Indonesian production base project. The total investment increased to US$299 million, and the annual production capacity of semi-steel radial tires doubled from 3 million to 6 million.
As the first Chinese tire company to build factories overseas, Sailun has built a multi-polar collaborative network in Vietnam, Cambodia, Mexico, Egypt and other places.
Leading companies in subdivisions have also taken a key step towards internationalization.
Domestic two-wheeler tire giant Sichuan Yuanxing Rubber recently completed an inspection and evaluation of the Indonesian market and is planning to build an overseas production base.
The company currently produces about 300,000 tires per day and is planning to build a third factory, striving to achieve sales revenue exceeding 4 billion yuan in 2026.
At the same time, NAMA Tire announced plans to build a modern factory in Cambodia with an annual output of 20 million PCR tires.
Shandong Yongyu Rubber’s Cambodia project has been registered and plans to produce 600,000 high-performance tire vulcanization bladders annually.
Industry sources said that Wuhan Zhongda is considering investing in building a new factory in Vietnam or North Africa.
New bases are accelerating and globalization is entering a harvest period
As the overseas bases laid out in the early stage are gradually completed and put into production, Chinese tire companies are ushering in a period of intensive expansion of overseas production capacity in 2026.
From 2026, China Tire will launch a global scattered layout (outside Southeast Asia) + high-end supporting breakthroughs, and it is optimistic about the growth of the sector.
As the domestic leader, Zhongce Rubber will intensively increase its overseas production capacity in Thailand + Indonesia + the 3/4 factory from 2026.
Sailun Tire’s overseas layout has entered a stage of rapid harvest.
In May 2025, the first semi-steel tire rolled off the production line at Sailun’s Indonesian plant; in August of the same year, the first full-steel tire and off-highway tire rolled off the production line.
The company has sufficient orders for semi-steel tires from the European Union, and the production capacity of its factories in Vietnam and Cambodia is very full.
Haohua Overseas Vietnam’s production base will be completed by the end of 2024, and 70% of its production capacity will be released in 2025. The company strives to achieve annual revenue of 10 billion yuan and an export delivery value of US$1 billion.
Doublestar Tire’s Cambodian factory will put the first phase into production in September 2024, and will steadily increase production capacity in 2025.

Iteration of the overseas expansion model: from ‘single point output’ to ‘system deep cultivation’
Through the wave of overseas expansion in the beginning of 2026, it can be clearly seen that the globalization strategy of Chinese tire companies is undergoing a profound iteration.
The main players going overseas have changed from ‘working alone’ to ‘collaborating in groups’.
It is no longer a single company building overseas factories, but a cluster overseas model of “tire companies and supplier companies”.
For example, in the Tangier Science and Technology City in Morocco, Shandong Daye Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of a bead wire base to provide supporting facilities for enterprises such as Sen Qilin and Yongsheng Rubber, forming an industrial cluster effect.
The overseas content ranges from ‘capacity export’ to ‘technology and service export’.
Leading companies are turning to the overall output of technology and services.
Senkylin’s Moroccan factory integrates artificial intelligence and industrial robots to realize full-process automated production, becoming a benchmark for “China’s intelligent manufacturing” overseas.
Sailun Tire introduced ‘liquid gold tire’ technology into overseas factories to increase product premiums with technical barriers.
The goal of going overseas has changed from ‘short-term arbitrage’ to ‘long-term asset accumulation’.
The company focuses on building long-term assets.
Triangle Tire’s Cambodia project is expected to achieve an average annual operating income of 2.585 billion yuan after reaching production. The target markets are mature markets such as North America, Europe, and Middle East and Africa, with steady demand growth.
In 2026, the globalization of China’s tire industry is accelerating.
From ‘going out’ to ‘going in’, from ‘selling products’ to comprehensive output of ‘capacity + brand + technology’, Chinese tire companies are becoming more confident and deeply integrated into the reshaping of the value of the global automotive industry chain.
