On the final day of the first quarter, the foreign trade industry ushered in a series of policy implementations and strategic changes.

First, let’s look at the dynamics of each platform.
Coupang’s stock price continues to weaken. As of the closing of the U.S. stock market on March 30, Coupang was trading at $18.26, a slight increase of 0.94% on the day, with a turnover of $453 million. It has fallen 22.59% year-to-date, a 52-week decline of 18.34%, and its market value has shrunk significantly.

Brand registered sellers can continue to use the manufacturer’s barcode for warehousing; non-brand sellers/distributors must affix the Amazon X00 label, otherwise the goods will be judged as defective products, affecting the timeliness of warehousing; in-transit and warehoused inventory will not be affected.
At the same time, Prime delivery is expanding outward, and pilots are opening Prime delivery to external platforms. Users can use it without logging in to an Amazon account. Merchants can independently control checkout, customer data and brand display, optimizing the “Buy with Prime” service experience.
On March 30, the stock price was reported at US$200.95, up 0.81%, with a turnover of US$9.301 billion; it has fallen 12.94% since the beginning of the year.
Temu is facing an infringement lawsuit involving sports stars. Messi filed a lawsuit in a New York court against Temu, SHEIN, and Walmart platform sellers for infringement, highlighting the intensified intellectual property compliance risks of cross-border e-commerce platforms.
From March 31st to April 2nd, the IMCO delegation of the European Parliament visited China, discussed consumer protection and product safety standards with Temu, SHEIN, and Alibaba, and conducted an on-site inspection of Shanghai Customs supervision operations. The signal of tightening EU supervision was clear.
TikTok Shop’s European and Japanese markets have exploded in growth, with monthly active users in Europe and Japan exceeding 200 million, tying the volume of the United States. Cross-border POP merchants in the UK, Europe and Japan have increased sevenfold year-on-year, with 300,000 merchants, 2 million experts, and 1,500 service providers. In 2026, the platform will increase investment in this region.
The U.S. region’s operating methodology has been upgraded, and the 2026 ACE operating system has been released, focusing on the three major fields of expert content, merchant content, and mall search, and driving growth with good products, good content, and good marketing; in 2025, U.S. region GMV will increase by nearly 80% year-on-year.
In April, “Metong-Mexico” was launched for cross-border self-operation, supporting Chinese and American merchants to ship goods from the United States to Mexico, and opening large logistics channels. Merchants shipping from Mexico and the United States can enjoy 60 days of commission-free incentives.

Pinduoduo launched the “New Pinmu” self-operated project, injecting 15 billion yuan in the first phase and 100 billion yuan in a three-year plan to integrate Pinduoduo and Temu supply chains and incubate self-operated brands globally.
The industry says its model is benchmarked against “Online Costco”, relying on China’s industrial belt and data advantages to streamline SKUs and reduce costs on scale.
Alibaba International launched Accio Work, an enterprise-level AI e-commerce tool, which can complete the entire store opening process from market analysis to product release in 30 minutes. It supports full-link services such as automatic marketing and supplier docking, and can customize multi-scenario e-commerce agents. It has more than 10 million enterprise users.
There are also new developments on other platforms.
From April 1, Shopee will stop using Quanzhou Warehouse Express Logistics on its Philippines, Malaysia, and Taiwan sites; it will launch SIP “secondary sales” service to reduce international return losses.
FedEx has launched the “SameDay Local” two-hour delivery service in the United States, relying on AI scheduling to achieve efficient door-to-door delivery.

FOB clause sellers need to be wary of the risk of abandoning goods to avoid high losses such as demurrage fees and storage fees.
In terms of macro market dynamics, India has loosened its position in WTO tariff negotiations and may agree to extend the electronic transmission tariff-free agreement for two years, which will benefit global digital trade.
Swedish e-commerce sales will reach 14 billion euros in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 10%, with pharmacies and home furnishing categories leading the growth rate.
my country’s trade surplus in goods and services in February was 360.3 billion yuan (RMB), and foreign trade maintained a steady momentum.
For enterprises, compliance is a must. Amazon non-brand sellers must complete the X00 label affixing; EU regulations have increased and compliance certifications such as CE and REACH need to be completed in advance.
At the same time, risk prevention and control must be done well. The new version of the Maritime Law will be implemented soon. FOB contracts must be reviewed, order risks assessed, and losses from abandoned goods avoided.
We must also seize the opportunity to expand TikTok Shop’s European, Japanese and Mexican markets; cooperate with Pinduoduo’s “New Pinmu” supply chain; and use Alibaba’s AI tools to reduce store opening costs.
