On June 16, local time, the 6th China-Europe (France) Cross-border E-commerce Forum was held grandly in Paris.

The Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in France pointed out that the current digital transformation of the world economy is accelerating, and cross-border e-commerce has become an important force in the development of international trade and an important link in global industrial chain and supply chain cooperation.
For China-France and China-EU relations, cross-border e-commerce is not only a way of trade, but also a bridge connecting markets, industries and people’s hearts.
The relevant person in charge of the Hangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau introduced that since its establishment in 2017, the Sino-French Cross-border E-commerce Forum has become an important platform connecting the political and business circles of the two countries and promoting mutual trust and reciprocity.
As a digital trade hub city, Hangzhou will host the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo from September 23 to 27. This expo focuses on the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence and digital trade. Guests from all walks of life are welcome to Hangzhou for exchanges and cooperation.
The Vice Chairman of the French National Association for the Promotion of Industry said that cross-border e-commerce is becoming an important force in accelerating industrial transformation, which puts forward higher requirements for areas such as intelligent logistics, automatic translation, product recommendation, intellectual property protection and smart customs.
France has advantages in engineering technology and supervision, while China is developing rapidly in digital technology and artificial intelligence applications. Strengthening cooperation between the two sides will help promote the development of high-quality and sustainable cross-border trade.

Currently, the construction of the Digital Silk Road continues to deepen, and Sino-French cross-border e-commerce is facing unprecedented development opportunities.
People’s Daily Overseas Network will continue to leverage its advantages in authoritative reporting, international communication, and resource links to fully empower the Sino-French cross-border e-commerce ecosystem and inject impetus into the prosperity and development of China-Europe digital trade.
In the enterprise sharing session, the relevant person in charge of JD.com’s cross-border business department introduced that JD.com has launched the “New Growth Plan for Ten Billions and Thousands of Products”, and through projects such as “Centennial Brand”, “National Pavilion” and “Global Good Products Calling Order”, it will bring more choices of high-quality imported goods to Chinese consumers, and also facilitate more new overseas brands to enter the Chinese market.
The forum included keynote speeches, special discussions, corporate promotions, brand exhibition areas, signing and docking, etc., which effectively promoted the in-depth cooperation between China, France, and China in cross-border retail, logistics payment, brand overseas, and digital trade.
Compared with previous forums, this forum has innovatively added a China-EU cross-border e-commerce talent recruitment fair to provide on-site recruitment consultation for international students and professionals in Europe.
During the event, a sub-forum titled “Dialogue between Civilizations: From Cultural Heritage to Industrial Narrative—Hangzhou Promotion Conference” was held. Lively exchanges were held around topics such as Hangzhou’s industrial advantages, cultural resonance between China and France, Chinese brands going overseas, and Sino-French fashion interaction.
The successful holding of this forum has established a good platform for Chinese products to further go global, and also injected new vitality into the development of China-Europe cross-border e-commerce. I believe that with the joint efforts of all parties, the share of Chinese products in the global market will continue to expand, and cross-border e-commerce will also usher in a better future.
