According to news on June 11, the 2026 Yellow River Basin Cross-border E-commerce Expo will be grandly opened at the China Railway World Expo City in the West Coast New District of Qingdao from June 25 to 27.
The theme of this expo is “The Yellow River Begins a New Journey
“New Engine for Going Overseas” is co-sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, and has received support from Shanxi Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Henan Province, Sichuan Province, Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Qinghai Province, Ningxia Province
The Department of Commerce of eight provinces (regions) including the Hui Autonomous Region and the Department of Commerce of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region strongly support it, and it is hosted by the Qingdao Municipal Commerce Bureau, Qingdao West Coast New Area Management Committee, and China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area Management Committee.

Qin He, deputy director of the Qingdao Free Trade Area Management Committee, said that the total area of this expo reaches 23,000 square meters, with 8 professional exhibition areas and 8 characteristic exhibition areas planned.
In addition to products covering the traditional full industry chain sectors such as household daily necessities, shoes, clothing, textiles and bags, toys, electronics, maternal and infant beauty, industrial hardware, automobile and motorcycle parts, outdoor gardening pets, the Yellow River Basin’s characteristic industrial belt, cross-border e-commerce platforms and service providers, and source factories, the exhibits also innovatively added special exhibition areas such as AI workshops, cultural overseas, single economy, and cross-border clinics to accurately capture new global consumption trends and provide exhibitors and buyers with a differentiated and high-value docking experience.
This expo will attract more than 60 industrial clusters and nearly 800 companies from 18 domestic provinces (autonomous regions) and cities to sign up for the exhibition. Among them, nearly 40 cross-border e-commerce platforms will be present, and the number of visitors is expected to exceed 50,000.
During this period, more than 20 industry supporting activities will be held, including AI in-depth application sharing sessions, traditional foreign trade transformation forums, global POD trend development conferences, cross-border service full ecology and overseas warehouse model sharing sessions, Amazon global store opening special forum on bringing high-quality industries overseas, Tsingtao Beer cross-border e-commerce night, etc.

Since the first session in 2022, the scale of the Yellow River Basin Cross-border E-commerce Expo has increased year by year. In four years, it has achieved a total of 2.18 billion yuan in matching production and supply intentions, building a service network for nine provinces along the Yellow River
(District)’s high-energy platform for cross-border e-commerce industry docking, brand overseas expansion, and supply chain collaboration. The exhibition was also successfully selected as the “Key Project for Ecological Protection and High-Quality Development of the Yellow River Basin” in the “15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Shandong Province.”
This expo has achieved a critical leap in strategic positioning and functional model from “scale expansion” to “value cultivation” and from “trading platform” to “ecological empowerment platform”.
Che Wei, deputy director of the Service and Trade Division of the Provincial Department of Commerce, said that the expo not only brings together more than 60 characteristic industrial clusters from 18 provinces (autonomous regions) and cities along the Yellow River and Xinjiang, but also attracts nearly 40 global cross-border e-commerce platforms and more than 50 professional cross-border e-commerce associations, covering major global markets such as Europe, America, Japan and South Korea, Southeast Asia, Russia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
Integrate logistics channels such as Qingdao MTR and sea transport, Zhengzhou China-Europe freight trains, and Xi’an Airport Dedicated Line to create a two-way fast lane linking domestic source factories with the global consumer market, becoming the core node for the integration of the dual circulation pattern in the Yellow River region.
This expo adheres to the principle of “effectiveness first, enterprise-oriented”, and launches a series of breakthrough innovative measures in response to the practical problems of northern enterprises going overseas, striving to create an integrated service system of “efficient docking, rapid transaction, and full empowerment”.
Wang Dakun, deputy director of the Qingdao Trade Development Service Center, said that for example, this expo pioneered the “pre-exhibition and post-factory” linkage model, which greatly shortened the transaction cycle.
Integrate certified source factories in Qingdao West Coast New Area and Jiaozhou, Jimo and other places, covering northern advantageous industries such as wigs, plastic products, pet products, and home appliances.
After completing the preliminary product selection at the exhibition hall, buyers can take an exclusive shuttle bus to the factory for on-site inspection, inspection of the production line, on-site price negotiation and on-site signing. The traditional long chain of “exhibition display – online inquiry – sample delivery – on-site factory inspection – placing an order” is compressed into a short process of “viewing samples during the exhibition, inspecting the factory after the exhibition, and signing the contract on the spot”. The transaction efficiency will be increased by more than 60%, effectively solving the pain point of long transaction cycles for enterprises.
Facing the future, the Yellow River Basin Cross-border E-commerce Expo will continue to deepen its brand positioning as “the first cross-border e-commerce exhibition in the north”. Through three to five years of efforts, it is planned to build the Yellow River Cross-border Expo into a northern cross-border e-commerce ecological center integrating global trend release, industry standard discussion, full-chain resource aggregation and professional talent incubation, helping more Chinese manufacturing to go overseas efficiently and steadily through the “Silk Road Artery” of the Yellow River Basin.
