On April 29, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, together with finance, customs, taxation, foreign exchange management and other relevant departments, successfully held the “2026 Provincial Cross-border E-commerce High-Quality Development Seminar” in Shenzhen.
Relevant units directly under the central government and the provincial government, commerce bureaus of various cities across the province, and representatives from the cross-border e-commerce industry participated in this seminar.

This seminar focuses on the implementation of the task deployment of “promoting the expansion and upgrading of cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouse models, and standardized and orderly development” clearly stated in the Government Work Report of the State Council.
Relevant departments have released a new list of provincial public overseas warehouses, launched a pilot program for Guangdong’s cross-border e-commerce exports to be open to the public, and provided an in-depth explanation of the latest support policies such as the “tax refund on departure” service measures for export overseas warehouses and the “inspect first and then ship” business model.
Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Yangjiang and other cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones have conducted investment promotions focusing on supporting policies, subject cultivation, park construction, industrial development and other aspects. Shenzhen Longgang District also introduced cross-border e-commerce development experience.
Amazon Global Store, China Unicom, Guangjiao Logistics, Shopline, etc. respectively shared their experiences around global smart hub warehouse projects, cross-border e-commerce services, global logistics network one-stop services and independent website building services.
These measures have brought together the joint efforts of all parties and effectively promoted the sustained and healthy development of cross-border e-commerce.

Guangdong Province’s “Cross-border E-commerce +
In the “Industrial Belt” docking cooperation area, the province’s 22 pilot industrial belt enterprises and cross-border e-commerce service providers displayed their latest products and negotiated face-to-face with cross-border e-commerce sellers, achieving precise matching and efficient docking.
The “Cross-border E-commerce +” held simultaneously
The “Industrial Belt” docking activity focused on the two main lines of “compliance escort” and “AI efficiency enhancement” and invited companies such as Yantian International Container Terminal, Xianzhi Xianjue Tax Agency, Yijieya, and Wanxi Technology to share topics such as “Yantian’s departure to support manufacturing in China”, “Compliance interpretation of new tax policies” and “New paradigm for cross-border e-commerce brand growth in the AI era”. It systematically responded to the hot topics of compliance and growth that industrial belt enterprises are most concerned about in the process of moving from “selling products” to “building brands”.
In addition, focusing on overseas emerging markets, leading platforms such as Walmart Global E-commerce, TikTok Shop, and Noon have successively shared themes such as “New Growth Opportunities for Industry Exporting to North America”, “Dismantling the Logic of Product Selection, and Accurately Positioning Popular Products” and “Working with Industrial Belts to Exploit New Opportunities in the Middle East Market”, providing companies with “practical strategies” for emerging markets such as North America and the Middle East.
Representatives from the cross-border e-commerce industry who participated in the seminar said that this event was novel in form, substantial in content, and effective.
Next, they will actively respond to the country’s call for standardized and orderly development, seize opportunities, work hard, and inject new momentum into the sustained and healthy development of cross-border e-commerce in Guangdong.
It was also announced at the event that the 2026 China (Guangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Fair will be held at the Canton Fair Complex from June 16 to 18. We sincerely welcome all companies to actively participate in the exhibition and hope that more high-quality cross-border e-commerce platforms and companies will settle in Guangdong and take root in Guangdong.
