On June 16, 2026, the press conference of the 2026 Changsha International Green Intelligent Construction and Building Industrialization Expo was held in Changsha.
This Expo is jointly sponsored by the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Changsha Municipal Government. It will be held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center from June 25 to 27, with an exhibition area of 45,000 square meters and an estimated number of participants of over 40,000.
With the theme of “Technology empowers intelligent construction and innovation leads to a better life”, this year’s construction expo is organized around the three main lines of intelligent construction empowering intelligent equipment, good houses, and urban renewal. It is divided into multiple special exhibition areas to focus on displaying new technologies, new products and new applications in the construction industry.
Smart equipment is the core highlight of this exhibition.
Top 50 global construction machinery companies such as Sany Group, Zoomlion, and Sunward Intelligent gathered at the scene, and many leading domestic construction robot companies also brought their latest achievements.
High-altitude rescue platforms, intelligent sanitation equipment and other products were on display, fully demonstrating the industrial strength of Hunan’s intelligent construction equipment.
These advanced intelligent equipment not only represent Hunan’s technical level in the field of intelligent construction, but also provide new ideas and directions for the future development of the construction industry.
The residential and urban sectors are also full of attractions.
A number of well-known real estate companies, together with communications and building materials companies, appeared in the Good House exhibition area to showcase livable solutions such as prefabricated decoration, smart homes, and green building materials.
Groups from Changzhutan, Yongzhou and other places participated in the urban renewal exhibition area, sharing practical cases such as the renovation of old communities and the protection of historical buildings, and presented Hunan’s experience in improving urban quality.
These cases not only provide useful reference for urban development, but also allow people to see Hunan’s innovation and efforts in urban construction.
The exhibition simultaneously launched a series of “1 + 2 + N” exchange activities, inviting academicians of the Academy of Engineering and industry experts to interpret industry development trends, holding two national events focusing on construction companies going overseas and urban renewal, and simultaneously conducting 6 special seminars on intelligent equipment, prefabricated decoration, and integration of industry, academia, and research.
There is also a dynamic display of construction robots and intelligent equipment on site to visually demonstrate the practical effects of the equipment.
In addition, the Hunan Construction Industry Chain International Cooperation Matchmaking Conference will release overseas infrastructure projects and organize one-on-one negotiations between Chinese and foreign companies.
The internationalization of this year’s Construction Expo has been greatly enhanced. Envoys from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Laos and other countries to China were present, overseas companies such as Germany and the United Arab Emirates participated in the exhibition, and more than 100 overseas professional buyers from 28 countries and regions participated.
A special area for foreign-related legal services was also set up on site, and business compliance guidelines were issued to protect Hunan enterprises going overseas.
In recent years, Hunan has built a complete smart construction policy system. There are currently 20 national-level smart construction industry bases, 74 provincial-level ones, and 74 implementation demonstration projects. In 2025, the output value of the province’s smart construction industry will reach 409 billion yuan.
As a national smart construction pilot city, Changsha has completed all three-year pilot tasks and promoted 22 experiences across the country. Last year, its industrial output value exceeded 200 billion yuan.
This Construction Expo will rely on the exhibition platform to gather industry chain resources, continue to promote the transformation and upgrading of Hunan’s construction industry, and help “Hunan Construction” go global.
