China (Taishan) International Mining Equipment and Technology Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as “Taishan Mining Equipment Exhibition”) relies on Tai’an’s strong mining equipment industry foundation. After more than ten years of intensive work, it has grown from a regional industry exhibition to a benchmark event in the field of mining equipment in the central and eastern regions. It not only engraves the transformation trajectory of China’s mining equipment industry, but also carries the mission of promoting industrial upgrading.
The Taishan Mining Equipment Exhibition was jointly founded by the Tai’an Municipal People’s Government and Shandong Energy Group in 2013. As of 2024, it has been successfully held seven times.
Since the second exhibition in 2014, a fixed holding cycle of every two years has been officially established, gradually forming a mature model of “government guidance, enterprise leadership, market operation, and industry participation”. It has been rated as “China Regional Brand Exhibition” and “Shandong Province Famous Brand Exhibition”, becoming an important window for Tai’an City’s external exchanges and cooperation. It is also a core platform for domestic and foreign mining equipment manufacturing companies and mining users to carry out exchanges and cooperation, product display, brand promotion and market development.
The growth trajectory of the exhibition clearly reflects the transformation process of China’s mining equipment industry from traditional to intelligent, from high-carbon to green, which can be divided into three key development stages.
In the foundation-building stage (2013-2014), the first exhibition in 2013 was successfully held, laying the foundation for industry exchanges; in 2014, the second exhibition clarified its theme and formally established the holding period. At the same time, it innovatively launched an online exhibition to achieve the combination of physical exhibitions and e-commerce, creating a “never-ending exhibition.” The first exhibition attracted many companies to sign up for the exhibition, showing strong industry appeal.
In the scale expansion stage (2016-2022), the third to sixth exhibitions continued to expand in scale, the quality of exhibitors improved significantly, and industry leaders were gradually gathered. The exhibits covered all fields such as mining, exploration, mineral processing, and safety.
The sixth exhibition in 2022 overcame the impact of the epidemic, attracted many companies to participate in the exhibition, promoted the exhibition’s transformation from a regional exhibition to a national professional exhibition, and became one of the most influential professional exhibitions in the domestic mining equipment field.
In the mature and quality-improving stage (the seventh session in 2024), the exhibition area of the seventh exhibition has been expanded, attracting many companies to set up and participate in exhibitions, with a large number of professional visitors and considerable contract transaction amounts.
Relevant conferences will be held at the same time, and industry experts will be invited to give speeches to promote the exhibition to achieve diversified values, marking that the exhibition has entered a new stage of maturity and quality improvement, and has become a high-end cooperation hub that connects the entire chain of “production, demand, supply, and sales” in the mining industry.
After seven years of cultivation, Taishan Mining Equipment Exhibition has formed three core values.

The 8th Taishan Mining Equipment Exhibition, which will be held at the Taishan International Convention and Exhibition Center from August 31 to September 2, 2026, with the theme of “Smart Mining Industry Upgrading, Intelligent Innovation Leads the Future”, will be based on the industry opportunities in the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and rely on the historical accumulation of the previous ten years to achieve comprehensive upgrades in terms of scale, exhibition area, form, content, etc.
In terms of scale, the planned exhibition area exceeds 40,000 square meters, with multiple exhibition halls and outdoor squares enabled to create a linkage pattern of four functional exhibition areas.
It is expected to bring together nearly a thousand exhibitors and invite many professional purchasing groups and professional visitors to participate, creating a top event with deep integration of industry, academia and research in the mining field, further expanding the exhibition’s influence and promoting the efficient integration of industry resources.
