April Spring City is full of spring.
On the afternoon of April 17, the 2nd Third Council of the Shandong Smart Home Association and the launching ceremony of “Buy in China·2026 Shandong Green Smart Home (Ageing Suitable) Renewal Consumption Season” were held in Jinan.
Nearly 200 representatives from relevant government departments, national industry associations, scientific research institutes, and industry leading companies such as Haier, Huawei Hongmeng Smart Home, and JOMOO gathered together to discuss high-quality development plans for the industry and witness the full launch of a series of provincial smart home consumption promotion activities.

The meeting pointed out that 2026 is the starting year of the “15th Five-Year Plan”. “Smart economy” is written into the government work report for the first time. The “consumer goods trade-in” policy clearly includes smart homes and age-appropriate products within the scope of support.
Against this background, Shandong Province regards smart homes as an important tool to cultivate new productivity and stimulate consumption potential, and relevant policies and measures to promote consumption continue to be implemented.
At the launching ceremony, Dong Zhi, Chairman of the China Household Electrical Appliances Business Association, and Xu Dongsheng, Vice Chairman, Zhao Deli, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Council of the Shandong Light Industry Collective Enterprises Association, Deputy Director of the Market Operation and Consumption Promotion Department of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce
Director Jiang Jie, Shandong Provincial Consumer Association Publicity Committee Ma Fei, Shandong Provincial Information Trade Union Li Yonggang, Shandong Provincial Smart Home Association President Cao Haikui and others jointly launched the “Buy in China·2026 Shandong Green Smart Home (Ageing Suitable) Renewal Consumption Season”.
The event aims to promote the popularization of green smart home products and the implementation of aging-friendly transformation through government-enterprise collaboration and resource integration, and further release the consumption potential of urban and rural residents.
Cao Qingsheng, a member of the Party Group of Shandong Light Industry Collective Enterprises Association and deputy director of the Board of Directors, said in his speech that the current smart home industry is in an opportunity period of policy overlay, demand upgrade, and scenario expansion.
The Provincial Light Industry Federation will continue to play its industry service role, provide support to associations and enterprises in planning guidance, standard construction, talent training, etc., and promote the development of the industry in the direction of high-end, intelligent, and green.
Ma Fei, publicity committee member of the Shandong Consumers Association, pointed out in his speech that smart home products are directly related to consumers’ home safety and quality of life.
The Provincial Consumers Association will focus on the annual theme of “improving consumer quality” and continue to carry out consumer education guidance, product and service supervision and other work. At the same time, it calls on participating companies to strictly control product quality, standardize after-sales services, and effectively safeguard consumers’ rights to know and fair transactions.
At the subsequent third meeting of the second council of the association, Secretary-General Chen Chaoli made a 2025 annual work report and a 2026 work plan.
The report shows that the association has achieved remarkable results in industry services, policy docking, market promotion, and brand building in the past year. The next step will be to focus on the actual pain points of member companies and build an empowerment platform from the dimensions of marketing upgrades, AI tool application, and policy implementation.
Vice Chairman Tian Zhanjun and Supervisor Wang Kaiqing made financial reports and supervisor reports respectively.
The three reports were unanimously adopted after deliberation by all directors, which fully reflects the association’s good momentum of standardized and transparent operation.
Liu Jiyuan, Director of the Research and Innovation Department of Aowei Cloud Network, conducted an in-depth analysis of the current market situation.
He pointed out that with the empowerment of AI technology, China’s smart home industry is accelerating towards a new stage of “active service”, and future market competition will focus on three directions: active service, health management, and energy optimization.
In response to the current market performance, Liu Jiyuan disclosed that in the first quarter of 2026, the cumulative retail sales of my country’s home appliance market (excluding 3C) was 172.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%.
He analyzed that the three-year “state subsidy” policy has formed a “scissors”-style rhythm misalignment: in 2024, the subsidy was a “catalyst”, in 2025 it evolved into “dependence”, and in 2026 there were signs of “subsidy immunity”.
In this context, the key to the industry’s breakthrough lies in the “four modernizations” of segmentation, differentiation, high-end, and branding, so as to truly understand users and create value.
Li Hongwei, a senior engineer at China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute, gave a special report on the development trend of smart home technology.
He systematically sorted out the evolution from mechanization, electrification, informatization to intelligence, and pointed out that the current smart home is characterized by the coexistence of multiple stages and different levels of development.
At the technical level, controller intelligence is the basic support. Voice interaction has entered the stage of widespread, large-scale, and naturalization. Visual interaction will usher in a period of rapid development, but robotization has a long way to go.
Li Hongwei emphasized that the paradigm shift from “product + AI” to “AI products” is reshaping the industrial landscape.
He introduced the latest progress of the National Smart Home Quality Inspection and Testing Center in the fields of standardization, testing and certification, including the national standard for grading the intelligent capabilities of smart home appliances (GB/T 28219.1 – 2025), the national standard for grading voice interaction (GB/T 45354.1), etc., which provides a technical benchmark for the industry to improve and upgrade.

Li Zuhong, national head of channel KA of Jiumu Group, introduced the company’s technical layout in the field of smart bathrooms, showing innovative achievements such as silent flushing, smart mirrors and green black light factories.
Chen Xingqi, Director of Hongmeng Smart Home of Huawei’s Shandong Terminal Business Department, explained the collaborative application of Hongmeng Ecosystem in the linkage of “people, cars, and homes” scenarios.
Cong Dachao, strategic director of Haier Robotics, discussed the integration and development of home service robots and whole-house intelligent scenarios.
During the meeting, China Qibao (Shandong) Holdings Co., Ltd. and Shandong Smart Home Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will deepen cooperation in fields such as technology project application and digital services, and jointly serve the transformation and upgrading of member companies.
Cao Haikui, President of the Shandong Smart Home Association, said that the association will take this meeting as an opportunity to further play the role of bridge and link, focus on industry pain points to build an empowerment platform, promote Shandong smart home industry to make new progress in brand building, technological innovation, market expansion and other aspects, and contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of the province.
It is reported that this conference is hosted by the Shandong Smart Home Association, co-organized by Haier, Huawei Hongmeng Smart Home, Jomoo Sanitary Ware and other enterprises, and supported by Aowei Cloud Network, Jinan Private Economic Development Bureau, Xiaoya Holding Group and other units.
More than ten provincial associations, including the Provincial Decoration Association, the Provincial Furniture Association, and the Provincial Real Estate Association, as well as representatives from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Sichuan, Shanghai, Shanxi, Chongqing, Hubei, Suzhou, Yangzhou and other places attended the meeting, demonstrating the strong synergy of the coordinated development of the industry.
