On March 19, 2026, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) released a report showing that Shandong New Continent Tire Co., Ltd. will invest in the construction of an automobile tire manufacturing plant in Kratie Province, Cambodia.

This project is located in the UBE SNOUL SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE / KRATIE SPECIAL ECONOMC in Kratie Province
ZONE), it will become the third tire manufacturing plant in Kratie Province and the eighth tire factory in Cambodia.
Shandong New World Rubber Technology is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D and manufacturing of high-performance SUV off-road tires. It owns brands such as COMFORSER and its products have been exported to more than 150 countries and regions around the world.

With the implementation of this project, the tire industry in Kratie Province is further concentrated.
At present, Doublestar Tire and Formax Tire factories have been put into operation in the Snu Special Economic Zone, forming a preliminary industrial cluster.
From a national perspective, Cambodia’s tire manufacturing industry is in a stage of rapid development.
There are currently 8 tire factories in the country, located in multiple special economic zones in Svay Rieng, Sihanoukville and Kratie provinces. The rubber required for production mainly comes from local raw materials, and the products are mainly exported.

Data show that Cambodia’s automobile tire exports will reach US$1.38 billion in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 57.86%, continuing the trend of rapid growth.
At the same time, the rubber industry provides important support for the tire manufacturing industry.
According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Cambodia’s rubber industry revenue in 2025 will be approximately US$223 million, and the country’s rubber planting area will be approximately 448,000 hectares, of which approximately 77% has entered the rubber tapping stage.

With the implementation of more tire manufacturing projects, Cambodia is gradually transforming from a “rubber raw material exporter” to a “rubber deep processing and manufacturing base”.
The investment project of Shandong New World Rubber Technology Co., Ltd. will not only bring a large number of local employment opportunities, but will also further promote the development of Cambodia’s tire industry and enhance its competitiveness in the global tire market.
This is of great significance to Cambodia’s economic development and industrial upgrading, and also provides a successful example for Chinese enterprises to “go global”.
In the future, as the cooperation between the two parties continues to deepen, I believe that Cambodia’s tire industry will usher in more brilliant development prospects.
