PingPong attended the Visa Forum to explore new trends in cross-border payments driven by AI

Visa recently hosted an event in Shanghai themed "Rhythm of Payments, Powering the Journey." PingPong, a long-standing ecosystem partner, was invited to attend and join representatives from various sectors in discussing AI-driven cross-border payments and capital flows for enterprises. Having achieved significant success in building compliance and technical capabilities, PingPong plans to collaborate with partners like Visa to drive the upgrading of B2B cross-border payment capabilities.

Recently, Visa held the “Payments in Motion Shanghai” event in Shanghai. This event conducted in-depth exchanges around the core topic of corporate cross-border payments and capital flows driven by AI.
As a long-term ecological partner, PingPong was invited to attend and gathered with nearly 200 representatives from financial institutions, financial technology companies and overseas enterprises to discuss industry trends and practical paths.

As an important communication platform in the global payment technology field, many senior leaders of Visa attended and shared Visa’s latest observations in the cross-border field of AI.
Zhang Wenyi, Visa’s global senior vice president and president of Greater China, Chavi Jafa, Visa’s global senior vice president and general manager of Asia-Pacific commercial payment and capital flow business, and Yin Xiaolong, Visa’s global vice president and president of China, all participated.
Wang Zhiyun, Global Vice President of Visa and General Manager of Commercial and Public Utility Cash Flow Business in Greater China, hosted the fireside dialogue session and had a lively exchange with the guests on industry innovation and future development.

In the discussion on the topic of “AI and B2B Cross-border Payments”, Xu Zheng, global vice president and partner of PingPong, said that one of the scenarios where AI is first implemented and effective is risk control and compliance.
He pointed out: “In the field of cross-border payments, AI is a very effective auxiliary tool. It does not change the underlying infrastructure on which payment depends, but it can help us more quickly adapt to the efficiency, security and compliance requirements of these infrastructures.”

As enterprises continue to deepen their global operations, the core appeal of cross-border payments has been upgraded from “the ability to complete transactions” to “the ability to achieve stable, controllable, and sustainable capital flows in a complex and ever-changing global environment.”
In this process, AI is accelerating its integration into key links such as payment routing optimization, risk identification, anomaly warning, and operational coordination, and continues to improve the efficiency and certainty of cross-border payments.

PingPong related business map

Faced with the complex and ever-changing global trade environment and the evolving cross-border business needs of enterprises, PingPong has always regarded compliance capabilities as the underlying foundation for long-term development.
Currently, PingPong holds 67 payment licenses and permits around the world, covering major markets such as China, North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. It is deeply connected to more than 200 systemically important banks around the world, and has established long-term cooperative relationships with international card issuing organizations such as Visa to provide continuous and robust compliance and capital channel support for cross-border payment businesses.

While improving the global compliance network, PingPong continues to promote the construction of technical capabilities and achieves comprehensive coverage and protection of underlying technology patents in core aspects such as account systems, payment processes, fund management, credit assessment, and risk prevention.
In recent years, PingPong has also been accelerating the scenario-based implementation of AI technology, and its application scope has gradually extended to multiple business links such as marketing, product design, risk management and control, customer service and operational support.

In the future, PingPong will continue to work with global ecological partners such as Visa to promote the upgrade of B2B cross-border payment capabilities through technological innovation and scene exploration, helping more companies achieve high-quality and sustainable growth in the global market.
In today’s increasingly prosperous world of global trade, the cooperation between PingPong and Visa has undoubtedly brought new opportunities and development directions for cross-border payments for enterprises, and is expected to further promote the circulation and sales of Chinese goods in the global market.
