The domestic industrial control brand has added another strong player!
Zhiyuan Electronics has officially entered the automation track. What is the confidence behind it?
Today, we focus on this company that previously focused on embedded products, such as CAN bus, power modules, core boards, etc.
Although it has always had a certain presence in the industrial control circle, Zhiyuan Electronics is not a first-tier manufacturer.
However, now they have resolutely announced their entry into the field of industrial automation.
So, why enter the game at this time?
The industry generally believes that the industrial control track is already a red ocean.
International brands occupy the high-end market, domestic leading companies penetrate downwards, and start-ups start price wars.
But according to Zhiyuan Electronics executives, this is not a move to follow the trend, but a natural extension of technology accumulation.
They have accumulated more than 20 years of embedded technology, motor drive technology, simulation technology, and bus communication technology, and have found opportunities for centralized implementation in industrial automation scenarios.
To put it simply, they used to only make parts, but now they are making complete machine plans.

As a latecomer, Zhiyuan Electronics showed three trump cards.
The first one is the self-developed protocol stack.
They insist on writing all bus protocol codes from source code, such as EtherCAT, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, IO-Link, etc., and have invested millions of dollars in total.
Moreover, these protocol stacks are all provided to users for free at no additional charge.
Its EtherCAT master station can achieve microsecond-level jitter under a 125-microsecond communication cycle, and its performance can benchmark against major international manufacturers.
The second trump card is supply chain security.
In the past few years, the industry’s supply has fluctuated frequently, and Zhiyuan Electronics has been able to handle it smoothly.
Behind this is its good cooperative relationship with upstream, large-scale procurement and accurate forecasting capabilities.
The third trump card is the system product matrix.
From the information layer, control layer to driver layer, they provide a complete set of solutions, covering almost all mainstream buses.
Customers can resolve most of their needs with one supplier.

In addition to hardware, Zhiyuan Electronics has also developed the AWStudio one-stop PLC industrial control software platform.
The platform supports ladder diagram and ST language, has visual graphical programming functions, and supports integrated development of PLC and HMI.
What’s more worth mentioning is that its IDE can run on a variety of systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, unlike some software that can only be bound to a certain company’s system.
It is said that this is the first software platform that can truly run standard PLC logic on embedded devices and be autonomously controllable.
Zhiyuan Electronics is not the first company to cross-border entry.
In recent years, more and more domestic industrial control brands are emerging, and the industry structure is quietly changing.
As said in the interview: “We are not learning from scratch, but reusing the accumulated and precipitated technologies into a new application scenario.” In the past, when the industrial control circle talked about brands, they defaulted to those major international manufacturers.
But now, keywords such as domestic substitution, independent controllability, and supply chain security are reshaping the industry landscape.
It is too early to draw a conclusion whether Zhiyuan Electronics can gain a firm foothold in the industrial control field.
But from “making parts” to “making systems”, this trend itself deserves our close attention.
What do you think of the rise of domestic industrial control brands?
