Recently, at the construction site of the third phase of the Xingye Machinery Intelligent Workshop Production Technology Transformation Project, engineering machinery was shuttled back and forth, and construction workers were constructing the factory foundation in an orderly manner.
At present, the project has completed a total investment of approximately 100 million yuan.
The project covers an area of about 40,000 square meters and has a total investment of about 300 million yuan.
“The core content of the project specifically includes three aspects. The first is to build a new intelligent steel structure factory with a height of 18 meters and an area of 34,000 square meters, and is equipped with multiple parts and intelligent mining equipment assembly production lines. The second is to focus on the field of underground mining equipment manufacturing, focusing on the production of underground scrapers, underground mining trucks, mobile crushers, etc.
Complete equipment and build an intelligent complete machine assembly center.
The third is to introduce a highly intelligent system and build an intelligent underground unmanned mining equipment center through intelligent sorting, automated assembly and welding, unmanned transportation and other technologies, and ultimately achieve ‘one line, multiple varieties’ production,” said Zhu Dechen, deputy general manager of production at Yantai Xingye Machinery Co., Ltd.
Currently, trackless mining equipment with scrapers and dump trucks as the core has become a must-have “artifact” for domestic and foreign mining companies.
As a leading company in the industry, Xingye Machinery already has a number of domestic first-in-class equipment development projects, has obtained a number of national patents, and its products are in short supply.
“The project is mainly to comply with the development trend of intelligent and green mining equipment and meet the growing market demand for high-end, safe and environmentally friendly mining equipment. It is also a key strategic move for the company to break through production bottlenecks and enhance core competitiveness.” Zhu Dechen further explained.
Large-scale intelligent projects commonly face challenges such as high technical integration complexity, large investment scale, and long construction cycles.
Xingye Machinery actively responds to problems by strengthening internal technical research and establishing in-depth strategic cooperation with high-quality domestic and foreign suppliers.
The district Industry and Information Technology Bureau and other departments also provided efficient guidance in project filing, policy consultation and other aspects.
“We coordinated with relevant departments to provide comprehensive services in handling the project establishment, land, environmental assessment, safety assessment and other procedures. The project started construction half a year ahead of schedule; for the company to successfully apply for a national key technological transformation demonstration city project, subsequent national, provincial and municipal financial funds will provide subsidies of no more than 20% of the total investment.” said Sui Dengke, chief of the Planning and Science and Technology Section of the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Muping District, Yantai City.
It is understood that the third phase of the project is expected to be completed in December 2026. After full production, Xingye Machinery is expected to increase its annual output by 300 units and increase its annual sales revenue by 300 million yuan.
The implementation of the project will significantly increase the company’s market share in the underground mining equipment market and further consolidate its industry-leading position.
“The first is to promote the upgrade of mine safety and environmental protection. The unmanned mining equipment developed by the project can realize less-manned and unmanned mining operations. It is expected that the zero-emission technology can reduce underground exhaust pollution in mines and help the construction of green mines, which is in line with the national ‘double carbon’ goal. The second is to drive industrial development. After the project is put into production, it will stimulate the upstream and downstream industrial chains, and at the same time create 100 new jobs, alleviating local employment pressure.” Zhu Dechen added.
