Midea’s new solution lets smart homes bid farewell to “pseudo-smart”

Although the domestic smart home market has surpassed 800 billion yuan in scale, the issue of "pseudo-smart" technology remains prominent. Midea has launched the "Meixiangjia" whole-home smart system; by reimagining smart systems with a focus on proactive intelligence, it delivers a brand-new user experience. Compatible with both new and existing homes, the system holds the potential to bring true smart home technology into countless households.

Many friends have installed smart home devices in their homes, but they always feel awkward when using them.
After spending money, each device does its own thing, the voice commands are often difficult to understand, and the operation is very cumbersome. In the end, many smart home appliances are reduced to ordinary furnishings.

Nowadays, the scale of the domestic smart home market has exceeded 800 billion. It seems to be developing rapidly, but its shortcomings in experience have been criticized by everyone.
Surveys show that more than half of users have slowly given up on smart functions because of the trouble of using them, and “pseudo-intelligence” has become an unavoidable problem for the entire industry.

Smart home scene map

Just in March this year, Midea officially launched the Meixiangjia whole-house smart system, targeting the pain points of the industry to make new changes.
Different from simply stacking smart products in the past, this time Midea directly reconstructed the entire smart system, focusing on true active intelligence, and no longer let home appliances passively listen to instructions.

The core of this system is the AI Xiaomei Butler, which is equivalent to the intelligent “brain” of the whole house.
It can learn the user’s living habits independently, predict needs in advance and realize equipment linkage throughout the house without repeatedly issuing instructions.

In daily use scenarios, the sense of convenience is most vividly reflected.
When you walk into the kitchen and say you want to cook, the lights, range hood, and kitchen appliances will start simultaneously. After cooking, the equipment will automatically shut down and start self-cleaning, and it will also thoughtfully remind you of the remaining ingredients.
When you get to the bedroom, the system will automatically switch between sleep and wake-up modes according to your schedule, automatically adjust the room temperature and purify the air at night, and can accurately recognize even dialects and vague passwords.

Many people are worried that it is troublesome to retrofit old houses with smart home decoration. It is time-consuming and expensive to smash the walls and wire them.
You don’t have to worry about this at all. Midea is equipped with complete offline services. More than 6,000 service outlets across the country and hundreds of thousands of professional engineers provide support to achieve fast door-to-door installation 24 hours a day.
There is no need to change the wiring in the old house, it can be used normally when it is powered on, and it is suitable for both new and old houses.

It must be said that in the past, smart homes focused on hardware and concepts, ignoring the real user experience.
This time, Midea breaks out of the box and relies on deep technology to optimize the user experience, transforming intelligence from a “shower” into a real convenience.
I also hope that more brands will focus on making products in the future, so that smart homes can truly enter thousands of households and serve every ordinary person well.
