Liuzhou Foreign Trade: Intelligent Manufacturing Goes to the Sea and Strengthens to the Sea

In the current changing global economic situation, Liuzhou Foreign Trade is forging ahead with strong resilience and innovative vitality, writing a wonderful chapter towards the sea.

On June 1, Liuzhou Customs successfully issued the city’s first China-Malaysia electronic certificate of origin, launching a new customs clearance model of “online declaration, instant review, and cross-border transmission”.
The export goods data of an auto parts company is transmitted to Malaysian Customs in real time through the customs system. The company can quickly enjoy the tariff preferences of the free trade agreement, which solves the pain points of traditional paper certificates, greatly shortens customs clearance time, and reduces cross-border trade costs.
From January to May this year, Liuzhou Customs issued a total of 4,908 certificates of origin of various types, with a total visa value of 10.59 billion yuan, including 3,365 ASEAN certificates of origin, with a visa value of 4.69 billion yuan. The ASEAN market has become the core growth pole of Liuzhou’s foreign trade exports.

According to Liuzhou Customs data, from January to April this year, the city’s export volume was 14.638 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.9%.
The export of new productivity products represented by electric vehicles and lithium-ion batteries performed well, with year-on-year growth of 485.0% and 274.6% respectively.
At the same time, Liuzhou’s exports to the ASEAN market were 4.633 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 50.5%, and regional cooperation continues to heat up.

The driving force of Liuzhou’s smart products is increasing day by day, and many companies have launched their products overseas as soon as they are launched and put into production.
Guangxi Yanyan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.’s first set of high-speed rail track plate intelligent assembly production lines will be shipped to Moscow to participate in the construction of Russia’s high-speed rail; Guangxi Jimu Robot Co., Ltd.’s drone parts are exported to Australia; Guangxi Paibot Robot Technology Co., Ltd.’s mountain photovoltaic weeding operation and maintenance robots are exported to Laos.
The smart glasses project of Jueyuan Chuangzhi Technology (Guangxi) Co., Ltd. is expected to be put into production in June, and orders from European and American customers will be delivered in batches in July.
Liuzhou Luobide Technology Co., Ltd. hopes to deeply integrate Chinese artificial intelligence into the ASEAN health care industry through Liuzhou Intelligent Manufacturing.

Lithium battery exports, which represent the new energy industry, also continue to grow rapidly.
The production line of Liuzhou Guoxuan Battery Co., Ltd. is operating at full speed. In addition to supplying local car companies, its products have also opened up overseas markets such as ASEAN.
The general manager of the company said that after Qinzhou and Liuzhou maritime supervision, overseas logistics costs dropped by 20% and the timeliness increased by 3 to 7 days.

While emerging companies are promoting the “going out” of their products, Liuzhou’s pillar industries and leading companies are actively carrying out in-depth layout.
The new KD factory of Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. and its Egyptian partner was put into production; SAIC-GM-Wuling’s first new energy vehicle rolled off the production line in Malaysia; Liugong’s Kazakhstan subsidiary opened in Almaty.
SAIC-GM-Wuling has achieved a leap from product output to industrial output with the “moving chain overseas” model; Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile has accurately reached the global market through digital trade; Liugong continues to optimize global resource allocation and accelerate the layout of electrified and intelligent products.

Although Liuzhou is not along the border or close to the sea, it is actively exploring new ways to speed up the export of products to the sea.
The China (Guangxi) Free Trade Pilot Zone Liuzhou Linkage Innovation Zone was approved, the “Liuzhou-Shekou Port” rail-sea intermodal train was launched, the Guangzhou Port Liuzhou Inland Port was inaugurated, and a number of preferential railway freight policies were implemented.

The completion and navigation of the Pinglu Canal has entered a critical period. The entire line will be opened to water on June 3 and is expected to be completed and opened to navigation in September.
After being opened to navigation, it will rewrite the overseas logistics pattern of Liuzhou’s industrial products and bring important benefits in terms of transportation efficiency, logistics costs, market competition and other aspects.
The city’s commerce, industry and information technology, transportation and other departments, as well as Liuzhou Customs and Beibu Gulf Port Group, will take active actions around the Pinglu Canal to help Liuzhou’s high-quality foreign trade economic development and high-level opening up.

Liuzhou is standing at a new historical node of “rising toward the sea”, relying on intelligent manufacturing upgrades, channel optimization and industrial deepening to continuously expand overseas markets and write a new chapter in foreign trade development.
