Liuzhou Foreign Trade: Intelligent Manufacturing Goes to the Sea and Strengthens to the Sea

In the wave of global trade, Liuzhou is riding the wave with a unique attitude.
On June 2, a relevant report published “Liuzhou Enterprises’ Exports to Malaysia “Certified in Seconds from Now on”; on June 9, another report published “Connecting the River to the Sea to “Transport” the World – Foreign Trade Highlights in April: Liuzhou’s Three Major Potentials for Strengthening the Sea”, demonstrating the vigorous development of Liuzhou’s foreign trade.

On June 1, Liuzhou Customs successfully issued the city’s first China-Malaysia electronic certificate of origin. The export goods data of an auto parts company was transmitted to Malaysian Customs in real time through the customs system.
This marks that Liuzhou has launched a new customs clearance model of “online declaration, instant review, and cross-border instant transmission” for cross-border trade with Malaysia.
The “China-Malaysia Electronic Information Exchange System for Origin” was launched online. It is the third customs electronic networking channel for origin established by my country in ASEAN.
Enterprises rely on the China Customs Origin Service Platform to submit applications online, and the customs reviews and issues the entire process online, which solves the pain points of traditional paper certificates, shortens customs clearance time, and reduces enterprise costs.
Automobiles and parts are the main force in Liuzhou’s foreign trade exports. The implementation of the electronic certificate system will empower the industry to go overseas.
Liuzhou Customs statistics show that from January to May this year, a total of 4,908 certificates of origin of various types were issued, with a total visa value of 10.59 billion yuan; including 3,365 ASEAN certificates of origin, with a visa value of 4.69 billion yuan, the ASEAN market has become a core growth pole.

According to Liuzhou Customs data, from January to April this year, the city’s export volume was 14.638 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.9%.
Exports of new productivity products represented by electric vehicles and lithium-ion batteries increased by 485.0% and 274.6% respectively year-on-year. Exports to the ASEAN market were 4.633 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 50.5%.

In terms of power, Liuzhou is moving from “manufacturing overseas” to “smart sailing”.
Guangxi Yan Yan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.’s first set of high-speed rail track plate intelligent assembly production lines will be shipped to Moscow to participate in high-speed rail construction. For the first time, Guangxi industrial robot companies have participated in overseas high-speed rail projects with complete sets of intelligent equipment.
Guangxi Jimu Robot Co., Ltd.’s drone parts are exported to Australia, and Guangxi Paibot Robot Technology Co., Ltd.’s mountain photovoltaic weeding operation and maintenance robot is exported to Laos.
The smart glasses project of Jueyuan Chuangzhi Technology (Guangxi) Co., Ltd. is expected to be put into production in June and delivered to European and American orders in July.
Liuzhou Luobide Technology Co., Ltd. will integrate Chinese artificial intelligence into the ASEAN health care industry.
The export volume of lithium batteries also continues to grow. The production line of Liuzhou Guoxuan Battery Co., Ltd. is operating at full speed. Its products have opened up overseas markets, and logistics costs have been reduced and timeliness has been improved.

In terms of structure, Liuzhou has moved from “shallow trade” to “deep globalization.”
Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. cooperated with Egypt to build a new KD factory, SAIC-GM-Wuling rolled off the production line of new energy vehicles in Malaysia, and Liugong’s Kazakhstan subsidiary opened.
SAIC-GM-Wuling realizes industrial output through the “moving chains to overseas” model, Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile reaches the global market through digital trade, and Liugong continues to optimize its global layout.

In terms of efficiency, Liuzhou has changed from being “blocked by the inland” to being “connected to the river and the sea.”
Liuzhou was approved as a pilot free trade zone and linked to an innovation zone, launched rail-sea intermodal transport trains, and the Guangzhou Port-Liuzhou Inland Port was unveiled.
The Pinglu Canal is expected to be completed and opened to navigation in September, which will rewrite the maritime logistics pattern, reduce logistics costs, and enhance market competitiveness.
The municipal commerce, industry and information technology, transportation and other departments, as well as customs, Beibu Gulf Port Group, etc. will take active actions to support the high-quality development of Liuzhou’s foreign trade.
