Lianlian figures indicate that against the backdrop of the complex and ever-changing global trade environment last year, the company’s global payment business continued to grow, mainly due to the dual drive of “technology empowerment + globalization.”
In terms of technology empowerment, Lianlian Digital has completed the reconstruction of the payment infrastructure based on the upgrade of the underlying technology architecture and the in-depth adaptation of vertical scenarios. It has deeply embedded various intelligent tools into key links such as risk control, customer service, and exchange rate optimization, using technological innovation to drive cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and improve customer experience.

In terms of globalization, on the basis of deepening business penetration in core regions of Europe and the United States, Lianlian Digital relies on local payment licenses and localized operation teams in various countries to actively expand emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. By establishing regional operation centers, Lianlian Digital promotes the deep integration of global local payment services and regional trade ecology.

Zhang Zhengyu, chairman and CEO of Lianlian Digital, said that 2025 is the year for the company to lay a solid foundation, accelerate overall speed, and achieve profit breakthroughs.
This year, the company exceeded its goals in terms of expanding customer base, upgrading product systems, and improving operational efficiency.
It is reported that in the future, Lianlian Digital will focus on organic growth combined with steady mergers and acquisitions (or strategic investments) to further expand its business territory and promote sustained growth, and build a larger Lianlian ecosystem.

Currently, the global digital payment field is undergoing a profound change: AI is reshaping the composition of human productivity in all aspects, and the core weight of Fintech (Financial Technology) is shifting from Fin (Finance) to Tech (Technology), and from the focus of finance to the focus of technology.
Zhang Zhengyu said that in the face of the new trend of AI deeply transforming the global digital payment industry, Lianlian Digital must actively evolve, growing from a “connector in the Internet era” to a “hub in the AI and blockchain era”, and upgrading from a “payment network” to an “infrastructure for global trade and finance.”

Last year, Lianlian Digital elevated “technological upgrading” to a strategic core position, with its annual technology research and development expenses reaching 361 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13%.
As R&D investment continues to increase, Lianlian Digital completed the privatization deployment of the large AI model last year, and developed intelligent tools such as LoopAI and LoopChat based on the large AI model, fully embedding key business scenarios such as risk control, exchange, and customer service.
Especially in the field of payment risk control, the AI intelligent risk control system can automatically capture transaction documents, intelligently determine compliance associations, and provide millisecond-level exception warnings, significantly improving the efficiency and accuracy of risk control and establishing a firm compliance bottom line. In the field of customer service, Lianlian Digital integrates cloud native, big data and AI technologies to create the “Lianlian Cross-border Merchant Confidence Index” to track sellers’ operating status, help customers reduce operating uncertainty, and enhance user experience and service value.

At the same time, Lianlian Digital relies on the Hong Kong VATP digital asset trading platform license to actively deploy digital asset business. At the same time, it explores the application of blockchain technology in cross-border payment efficiency improvement and cost optimization, and builds a bridge between traditional payment infrastructure and the emerging digital economy.
In 2026, Lianlian Digital will comprehensively deepen its AI-native strategy and promote the productization of AI technology in all areas of payment and value-added services; and continue to strengthen technical barriers through systematic organizational structure adjustments and AI-based efficiency improvements and refined operational management.

With the support of a series of achievements in AI research and development, Lianlian Digital is accelerating the pace of efficient collaboration between globalization and localization.
Since the second half of last year, in the face of more and more Chinese companies actively going global, Lianlian Digital has begun to optimize its business structure and focus its business resources on serving the high-value needs of Chinese companies going global.
Zhang Zhengyu bluntly said that Lianlian Digital is currently in a critical window period for AI-driven and global expansion.
Therefore, Lianlian Digital has specially set up a co-president system in order to achieve efficient coordination between global layout and localization, let professional people do professional things, promote the same frequency adaptation of organizational structure and strategic goals, jointly expand the global business territory, and build a resilient growth curve.

It is not easy to achieve efficient coordination between globalization and localization.
Cross-border payment institutions need to obtain relevant payment licenses in many overseas countries and regions to ensure that various payment businesses work together and operate in compliance.
As of the end of last year, Lianlian Digital’s global payment licenses and related qualifications expanded to 66, covering all US state MTL licenses, Hong Kong MSO licenses, Luxembourg EMI licenses, British API licenses, etc. Its service scope covers more than 100 countries and regions, supporting transaction settlement in more than 130 currencies.

To build sustainable global operating capabilities and maximize the efficient synergy between globalization and localization, it is also necessary to unite all partners to build a global payment ecosystem.
In 2025, Lianlian Digital has reached in-depth cooperation with multiple global payment service platforms such as UnionPay International, Visa, 12 Victory, Veem, PAYSO, and Waffo. Through resource sharing and complementary advantages, Lianlian Digital will further improve the global payment network and build an interconnected and intelligent payment ecosystem.

Zhang Zhengyu said that in the future, Lianlian Digital will continue to focus on the AI-native strategy, promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and business scenarios, and at the same time unswervingly deepen the global development strategy, continue to consolidate the competitive advantages of cross-border payments and compliant financial services, build a safe, efficient, and convenient global trade finance infrastructure, and strive to become a technology-driven global digital payment leader.
