Jingchen and Google join hands to open the smart home “core” era

At the 2026 Google I/O conference, Google officially announced Amlogic as the designated system integrator for the "Google Home with Gemini Built-in" initiative. This move elevates their partnership—spanning over a decade—to a collaborative ecosystem-building relationship, with the aim of jointly driving the large-scale deployment of on-device multimodal AI capabilities in the smart home sector.

At 1 a.m. on May 20, Beijing time, the 2026 Google I/O conference officially opened.
In addition to the updates and upgrades of multiple AI products, Google Senior Product Manager Mihai Antonescu also introduced the Google Home Gemini Built-in project and officially announced Amlogic as the designated system integrator.
This marks that the in-depth cooperative relationship between the two parties that has lasted for more than ten years has officially jumped to “ecological co-construction”, and Amlogic has thus become a key bridge connecting Gemini large models and global hardware manufacturers.

Amlogic will appear at Google I/O 2026 as a core partner

According to Amlogic’s 2025 annual report, the company has currently built a smart multimedia and display SoC, AIoT
The complete chip product portfolio, including SoC, communication and connection chips, and automotive electronics SoC, is widely used in core scenarios such as end-side intelligence, high-speed connections, wireless routing, intelligent vision, advanced display technology, and connected cars.
As the core chip supplier of Google’s Gemini AIoT hardware, Amlogic has provided high computing power and low power consumption SoC main control chips for Google’s entire range of smart terminals, covering multiple categories of devices such as smart speakers, visual doorbells, indoor and outdoor smart cameras, etc., with a cumulative supply of millions of units, providing solid computing power support for the large-scale implementation of Google’s smart home ecosystem.

In addition, Amlogic Technology continues to expand the boundaries of the company’s chip ecosystem and accelerate the implementation of the platform in more terminal forms and market segments.
Especially in the field of device-side AI, the company has forward-looking plans to develop self-developed NPUs (neural network processors). As of the end of 2025, more than 20 chips have integrated self-developed device-side AI computing power units, with annual shipments exceeding 20 million units, a 160% year-on-year increase.
This strategic cooperation focuses on the Google Home Gemini built-in project, aiming to provide a standardized one-stop solution to help hardware manufacturers quickly develop and launch smart home products that are natively adapted to Gemini.
Relying on Amlogic’s self-developed high AI computing power unit and the in-depth optimization of Gemini’s large model, and superimposing the Gemma 4 intelligent agent, both parties will jointly promote the large-scale implementation of end-side multi-modal AI capabilities.
It is understood that Amlogic’s SoC chip specially customized for the Gemini ecosystem can achieve low-latency voice interaction and real-time video analysis, perfectly balancing low-power operation and high security requirements in smart home scenarios.

According to the latest report from Grand View Research, the global smart home market is expected to reach US$537.27 billion in 2030, 2025 –
The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in 2030 is as high as 27%.
As a designated project system integrator, Amlogic Technology has successfully entered the Google Home ecosystem and is expected to continue to benefit from major trends such as terminal upgrades, operator procurement cycles, and the popularization of terminal-side AI applications.

Using the same technology base of Gemini and Gemma 4 (Google’s new generation of lightweight end-side open source agent model, good at autonomous task planning and multi-modal real-time interaction), the Gemma 4 agent process prototype design and development can be oriented to whole-house intelligent scenarios in the future, creating an end-side Agent workflow with autonomous decision-making, multi-step task planning, and cross-device linkage, complementing the technical shortcomings of smart homes from passive response to active service, and solving the industry’s long-standing ecological fragmentation problem. In Google Home
Under the framework of the Gemini built-in project, it provides global third-party hardware manufacturers with an integrated solution of “chip + algorithm + ecology + agent agent process” to promote Gemini and Gemma 4 AI agent technology into thousands of households.

In the future, both parties will continue to deepen technological collaboration and ecological co-construction, lead the high-quality development of the global smart home ecosystem with an open and win-win attitude, and open a new era of proactive and autonomous smart homes.
