In the foreign trade market in 2026, major platforms have a series of important developments. At the same time, the country has also introduced relevant new fiscal and taxation policies. These changes will have a profound impact on the global sales of Chinese goods.

First, let’s look at the core dynamics of the four major platforms.
As for Amazon, starting from February 17, the Mexican store will reduce fees on a large scale.
FBA delivery fees have generally been reduced, with an average reduction of about 19 pesos (≈ 1 USD) per item.
Products in different price ranges have different reductions. For 18 categories with a price of less than 299 pesos, the delivery fee has been reduced by an average of 27 pesos, of which 2 categories have been reduced by an average of 57 pesos; in the range of 299-499 pesos, the average price has been reduced by 4 pesos; large items over 50 kilograms have been reduced in price according to weight steps.
For sellers with monthly sales of less than 26,000 pesos, the monthly store subscription fee is reduced from 600 pesos to 75 pesos, and FBA products priced >299 pesos are exempted from the 3% installment payment fee.
This move highlights Amazon’s emphasis on the Mexican market and is in sharp contrast to the fee increases on the U.S. site.
In addition, Amazon has filed a lawsuit with the German Federal Court in response to the German Antitrust Agency’s ruling banning automatic price controls on the platform, arguing that the ban violates EU competition law. This case will have an important precedent impact on the subsequent implementation of the EU’s Digital Markets Act.
Temu has new moves during the Spring Festival.
From February 6th to February 22nd, the price comparison expansion of similar products will be temporarily suspended. This is the first Spring Festival price relaxation since the platform was launched. However, it will only take effect for products that meet certain conditions, and it will not completely lift the current limit.
In addition, Temu’s 2026 strategy will shift to reducing losses and improving quality. The global GMV target will increase by 50% year-on-year, and it will strive to achieve a single-quarter breakeven in the fourth quarter, marking its entry into a new stage of “profit first”.
TikTok Shop also performed well.
From June to December 2025, the number of purchasing users of Japan Station increased by more than 20 times, with approximately 50,000 merchants and approximately 200,000 creators. About 70% of the transaction volume is driven by short video/live broadcast content.
The platform plans to launch “TikTok Shop Local” in March 2026 to help regional supply chains and small and medium-sized sellers.
At the same time, the platform promised a 5x ROI for the “Smart Promotion Plan” launched on January 20, and the GMV of participating products increased by approximately 70% during Black Friday.
Since February 15, the calculation caliber of transaction fees for local stores in Malaysia has been adjusted, and the actual fees for sellers have increased slightly.

As Coupang has been in an information vacuum period for many days in a row, relevant sellers need to focus on the Korean Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) data leakage investigation and potential policy changes, and make risk plans in advance.
In terms of new domestic fiscal and taxation policies, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Administration of Taxation jointly issued Announcement No. 16 of 2026, extending the tax incentives for cross-border e-commerce export returns to the end of 2027.
The core policy clarifies the preferential time, applicable regulatory codes and applicable conditions. The preferential content includes exemption from import tariffs for returned shipments into the country.
However, it also set up three major compliance red lines, such as strict identification of return shipments in their original condition, and gave executable suggestions.
Based on overall trends, price compliance has become the main battlefield for competition among platforms, and algorithms and pricing mechanisms face legal risks.
Market diversification is accelerating, high-growth regions such as Mexico and Japan are emerging, and sellers are less dependent on the U.S. single market.
The fiscal and taxation policies will be made long-term, and the tax exemption for returned shipments will be extended to 2027. Companies with strong compliance capabilities will receive long-term dividends.
In addition, Coupang’s information vacuum requires sellers to be wary of possible regulatory or major policy changes.
