Interpretation of the 2026 AI Trend Report in the Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Industry

2026年机器人、智能制造与工业自动化行业已进入AI驱动新周期,呈现出诸多确定性趋势。本文基于主流AI平台调研分析,揭示行业发展方向、竞争格局及AI可见性机会。

In 2026, the robotics, intelligent manufacturing and industrial automation industries have entered a new cycle driven by AI.
Different from the industry focus on “machine replacement” in 2023-2024, the current AI platform has shown a significant change in industry perception, from automation to autonomy, from equipment intelligence to system intelligence, and from stand-alone optimization to full industry chain collaboration.

This time, we conducted research and analysis on 100+ industry issues based on mainstream AI platforms such as Kimi, DeepSeek, Tencent Yuanbao, Tongyi Qianwen, Doubao, and Wenxinyiyan.
The study found that the industry presents five deterministic trends.

Industry Trend Picture 1

First of all, industrial AI has become the number one driving force in the industry.
In the past ten years, robots were mainly regarded as mechanical equipment, but in the next ten years, robots will be a combination of AI Agents and mechanical actuators.
Industrial robots are forming a complete closed loop of perception, decision-making, and execution, with typical capabilities such as AI visual inspection and autonomous path planning. Industrial AI has been upgraded from an auxiliary tool to a production decision-making system.

Secondly, embodied intelligence will become the biggest opportunity in the next five years.
Concepts such as “embodied intelligence” appear very frequently in the six platforms.
2026 is the first year of commercialization of humanoid robots, but it is not the first year of large-scale maturity.
At present, scenes with real industrial value are concentrated in industrial fields such as automobile manufacturing and warehousing and logistics, rather than consumer entertainment scenes.
In the next three years, the greatest value of humanoid robots will be to supplement the labor gap.

Furthermore, flexible manufacturing replaces traditional assembly lines.
In the future, factories will gradually get rid of fixed production lines and turn to software-defined factories, with core features such as modular production units and rapid line changes. Future competition will be about production flexibility.

Then, digital twins become a standard feature of smart manufacturing.
AI frequently refers to digital twin technology, which has typical values such as pre-purchase simulation and pre-production verification. In the future, large-scale factory construction models will build digital factories first and then build real factories.

Finally, the rise of industrial intelligence.
This is the biggest new trend in 2026. Industrial intelligence will become the “digital employee” of the future factory, with typical capabilities such as automatic analysis of production data. The future factory will be an organizational structure in which humans, robots and industrial agents collaborate together.

Industry Trend Picture 2

In terms of the global competition landscape, a three-tier structure is currently formed.
The first echelon is international automation giants, such as Siemens, ABB, etc., with advantages in PLC, industrial software, etc.; the second echelon is robot leaders, such as FANUC, Yaskawa Electric, etc., with the advantage of robot body; the third echelon is China’s smart manufacturing leaders, such as Innovator Technology, Eston, etc., who are the beneficiaries of domestic substitution.

The recommendation logic of the AI platform is different from traditional search. It prefers to cite industry reports, customer cases, technical white papers and media reports.
The user decision-making link includes five stages: problem recognition, solution evaluation, brand screening, case verification, and quotation and procurement.

There are many opportunities for industry AI visibility. For example, industrial AI will be the largest traffic entrance in the next three years, embodied intelligence is the fastest-growing field of AI platform citations, there is an increasing tendency to recommend domestic alternatives, and vertical industry solutions are more recommended by AI.
In the future, enterprises should focus on the construction of authoritative information sources, industry case construction, problem content construction and AI citation source construction.

In short, the industry has entered a new era of “AI-defined manufacturing” in 2026. The future core lines will be AI empowerment, embodied intelligence, flexible manufacturing, industrial intelligence and autonomous chemical factories.
For brands, future competition will not only be product competition, but also AI cognitive competition. The brand that takes the lead in establishing relevant systems is expected to become the core brand in the AI recommendation link.
