It was reported on January 13 that the cross-border e-commerce import and export value of the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone achieved remarkable results in 2025, reaching 34.779 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 53.28%, doubling from 2023, and successfully ranking first in the province.

As the core support for the construction of the Zhengzhou Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Zhengzhou Airport actively focuses on the transformation of “hub advantages to economic advantages” and promotes cross-border e-commerce to achieve leapfrog development through the four major measures of “grasping strengths, ecological construction, model innovation, and service efficiency improvement”.
In terms of development pattern, key transformation has been achieved, and the export-driven effect has been highlighted.
In 2025, the region’s cross-border e-commerce export value will be 24.187 billion yuan, accounting for 69.5% of the total value; export orders will be 251 million, accounting for 82.7%, and the export growth rate will be 73.46%, much higher than the import growth rate. It has successfully shifted from the “1210” bonded import-based model to a comprehensive shift to export-oriented development.
Multimodal transport support is also continuing to be strengthened.
Zhengzhou Airport has opened 70 all-cargo routes, covering 73 cities in 32 countries. In 2025, the cross-border e-commerce air cargo volume will be 261,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 94.3%; charter flights from Central Europe and Southeast Asia are in regular operation, and TIR cross-border highways have opened 26 international routes, transporting 470 tons of cargo annually. The relevant experience has also been selected as a typical case by the Ministry of Commerce.

Enterprise cultivation and industrial chain construction have achieved remarkable results.
Douyin Global Shopping’s bonded warehouse ships 30,000 orders per day, with an import value of 756 million yuan in half a year; Pinduoduo’s front cargo station is about to be opened, and it is expected that in 2026, it will add 50,000 tons of export air freight and a value of 5 billion yuan.
By the end of 2025, 885 cross-border e-commerce related companies in the region have formed a complete industrial chain. Well-known platforms such as Tmall International and Xiyin are operating on a regular basis, and local companies such as Yitong Cross-border and Quansu Tong have grown into industry benchmarks.
“Cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt” has given birth to new momentum.
Relying on the 1688 product selection center, more than 140 supply chain companies were introduced, driving more than 10,000 product selections; the vehicle and auto parts selection center incubated 18 batches of merchants, and related cross-border summits attracted more than 40 buyers from the “Belt and Road” co-building countries, with the contract value exceeding 600 million yuan; Levi Intelligent Breeding Equipment Selection Center products are exported to more than 120 countries and regions.
The business environment is also continuing to be optimized.
Cross-department collaboration ensures major promotion nodes. The “Silk Road E-commerce” tax refund and customs declaration system reduces the time for filling in a single invoice to 10 minutes; the “district and port integration” realizes 7×24-hour customs clearance, improves logistics timeliness by 60% and reduces costs by more than 50%. AI intelligent document review and electronic port platforms attract leading companies to deploy primary and backup channels.
Looking forward to 2026, Zhengzhou Airport will build four basic platforms, strive to exceed 40 billion yuan in goods value, and achieve “three consecutive tens of billions”; cultivate a large-scale e-commerce collection base, and strive to build a globally influential cross-border e-commerce innovation source and an institutional open highland.
