Guiyang Foreign Trade Group’s performance in the first quarter improved, promoting the upgrade of “exporting valuable products overseas”

Guiyang Foreign Trade Development Group Co., Ltd. is set to see its total import and export volume exceed 300 million yuan this January, with significant performance growth projected for the first quarter. Leveraging the advantages of the Guiyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the company is driving the export of Guiyang products to overseas markets and expanding into businesses such as coffee bean imports; its total annual import and export volume is expected to reach 4 billion yuan.

On February 2, good news came from Guiyang Foreign Trade Development Group Co., Ltd., located in Guiyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone. Its total import and export volume in January this year will exceed 300 million yuan, and its overall performance in the first quarter is expected to increase significantly year-on-year.
Among them, specialty agricultural products, non-ferrous metals and other sectors performed particularly well.

As a leading state-owned foreign trade enterprise in Guiyang, Guiyang Foreign Trade Development Group fully relies on the functional policy advantages and logistics convenience of Guiyang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone to accelerate the release of supply chain efficiency.
Its business footprint has spread to more than 10 countries and regions around the world, including Brazil, South Africa, and Southeast Asia, and its product categories cover agricultural products, energy and chemicals, minerals, nonferrous metals, electronic products and other fields.
Since its arrival, the company has achieved a cumulative international trade volume of 3.444 billion yuan and has established solid cooperative relationships with more than 10 banks and many leading local industrial enterprises.

Relevant business scenarios

“We have always regarded promoting Guizhou’s good products as our core goal.” The person in charge of the company’s comprehensive foreign trade service department said that in recent years, the company has continued to deepen the strategy of “exporting valuable products overseas”, focusing on special advantageous industries such as sauce wine, tea, chili products, and prickly pear juice.
Relying on the comprehensive advantages of the comprehensive bonded area, we provide enterprises with full-chain integrated services from international certification, bonded warehousing, brand marketing to online operations.
We not only support companies to go global, but also help them take root overseas.
Currently, the company is accelerating the layout of overseas warehouses in Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Thailand and other places, building a two-tier network of “domestic bonded warehouses + overseas warehouses”, and actively opening “Guizhou Zone” on mainstream cross-border e-commerce platforms.
Among them, “precious products” such as prickly pear juice and chili products are very popular and are going overseas through the exclusive “Guizhou Pavilion” on Australia’s mainstream Chinese e-commerce platform “E-best”.

“Many products are of good quality, but companies don’t understand international certification and are afraid of complicated processes.” The person in charge pointed out that the company, together with the Guiyang Customs Technology Center, provides companies with “overseas navigation” from Halal certification to US FDA regulatory consultation, accurately solving the pain point of “not being able to export”.

Enterprise cooperation scene

As the vice-president unit of Guiyang Coffee Association, the company is also actively developing coffee bean import and bonded processing businesses in response to the industrial call of “Guiyang to build a coffee city”.
In the first quarter of this year, the first batch of about 60 tons of Arabica coffee beans imported from Ethiopia will arrive in Hong Kong.
This move aims to reshape the supply chain and change the past situation where Guiyang coffee raw materials were mostly transited through Shanghai and Kunshan.
It is estimated that direct import can save downstream companies about 5 yuan per kilogram.
The company also plans to build a green coffee bean deep processing center and exhibition center in Guiyang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year.

“In the first quarter of this year, Guiyang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone introduced a series of favorable policies, which gave us more confidence. It is expected that the annual import and export volume will reach 4 billion yuan.” The person in charge said that the company will also focus on deepening cooperation with RCEP member countries and the countries that jointly build the “Belt and Road” countries, guiding local enterprises to transform and upgrade from “processing and manufacturing” to “brand overseas” and “service overseas”, and continue to climb up the global value chain.
