Guangzhou Light Industry Group launches two major foreign trade service platforms to help Chinese products go global

6月22日,广州轻工集团举行两大外贸服务平台相关活动,标志着央地协同、国资民企融合的服务载体进入实质运作阶段,将为广货出海提供有力支持。

In the journey of promoting Chinese products to the world, Guangzhou Light Industry Group has taken an important step.
On June 22, the unveiling ceremony of Guangzhou Guangchenda International Trading Co., Ltd. and the signing of a joint venture letter of intent for Guangzhou Yuetrade Digital Technology Co., Ltd. were grandly held at the headquarters of Guangzhou Light Industry Group.
This event marks that the two major service carriers of central-local collaboration and the integration of state-owned assets and private enterprises in Guangzhou’s foreign trade field have officially entered the substantive operation stage.
Relevant persons in charge from the Guangzhou Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Municipal Commerce Bureau, Nansha District Government, as well as representatives from partners such as SUMEC Group and Guangzhou Nansha Asset Management Group attended the event.

At the event, Guangzhou Guangchenda International Trading Co., Ltd. was unveiled.
The enterprise is a three-party joint venture established by Guangzhou International Trade Group, the central enterprise SUMEC Group, and the district state-owned enterprise Guangzhou Nansha Infrastructure Investment Co., Ltd. It is an important achievement of the linkage of central and local state-owned assets, complementary advantages, and the linkage of government and enterprises to empower the real economy.
Guangchenda will focus on three core tracks: bulk commodity supply chain operations, import and export trade of mechanical and electrical products, and comprehensive supporting services for enterprises in the Greater Bay Area going overseas.
On the one hand, it can help provincial manufacturing and energy companies reduce the total cost of import procurement, and on the other hand, it can provide full-process compliance guarantees and overseas channel support for the export of local processing equipment and new energy equipment.
At the same time, one-stop packaged services such as overseas market development, cross-border finance, risk control and compliance consulting, and overseas warehouse logistics and distribution are launched for manufacturing companies to accurately fill the shortcomings in the cross-border operation capabilities of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies.

Hu Haijing, deputy general manager of SUMEC and chairman of SUMEC International Technology Trading Co., Ltd., said in his speech that Guangchenda Company is the result of the complementary resources of the three central and local state-owned shareholders. SUMEC’s “global” layout, Guangzhou International Trade’s “localization” in-depth cultivation and Nansha Basic’s “hub” enabling advantages are superimposed, and they are committed to building Guangchenda into a model of central and local collaboration and a benchmark for state-owned enterprise linkage.
The launch of Guangchenda has filled the gap in Guangzhou’s one-stop supply chain service platform for bulk commodities and industrial products. Through the deep integration of central and local resources, it will provide local manufacturing companies with an overseas service carrier with state-owned credit.

On the day of the event, the joint venture letter of intent for Guangzhou Yuetrade Digital Technology Co., Ltd. was also successfully signed.
Guangzhou International Trade Group has joined hands with Rongjing Software, a subsidiary of Zhoubotong Group, Xingyaoda International Supply Chain, a subsidiary of Guangdong Trade City, and Guangzhou Daji Foreign Comprehensive Service Company to jointly establish a joint venture to operate the Guangdong Trade Communication digital platform.
The project adopts a mixed ownership model led by state-owned assets and empowered by private enterprises, coordinating technology research and development, industrial channels, operations and financial resources to create a digital solution for comprehensive foreign trade services covering the entire process.
The platform will promote the transformation of Guangzhou’s traditional professional market into sunshine, digitalization and platformization, provide small and medium-sized foreign trade companies with simple and low-cost digital tools for going overseas, and is expected to become the growth engine of new business formats such as cross-border e-commerce and market procurement trade.

Lin Hu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Guangzhou Light Industry Group, said in his speech that the two major platforms of Guangchenda and Guangdong Trade are dislocated and coordinated to build an open and win-win foreign trade ecosystem of “state-owned enterprise credit endorsement, market-oriented mechanism operation, and full-chain service empowerment”.
The two major platforms gather elements and innovate mechanisms to deeply implement the city’s strategic deployment of strengthening trade and activating the endogenous power of industrial development through the integration of the two industries, and provide integrated solutions for the upgrading of Guangzhou’s local industrial belt and the export of Guangzhou goods overseas.
Guangzhou Light Industry Group will serve as a solid industrial backing to escort the development of the platform.

Lin Jiyuan, deputy director of the Guangzhou State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, pointed out that the establishment of the two joint ventures is a concrete result of state-owned assets serving the city’s overall opening up.
The Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission will give full play to the guiding role of state-owned assets funds, support R&D investment, cultivate leading local foreign trade supply chain enterprises through the in-depth integration of “technology + capital + industry”, promote the two major platforms to become better and stronger, and contribute to the stable growth of foreign trade.

In the future, the two major platforms will use state-owned credit as a link to connect the global channel resources of central enterprises, the digital operation vitality of private enterprises and Guangzhou’s strong industrial foundation, and work together to help Guangzhou Goods and Goods sail away and reach the world, allowing more Chinese products to shine in the global market.
