On June 25, the three-day 2026 Yellow River Basin Cross-border E-commerce Expo officially opened at the China Railway World Expo City in the West Coast New District of Qingdao.
This exhibition covers an exhibition area of 23,000 square meters and brings together more than 60 industrial clusters and nearly 40 cross-border e-commerce platforms from 19 domestic provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities). More than 30 industry supporting activities will be held simultaneously during the exhibition to build a bridge for precise connection between global buyers and the domestic supply chain.

This expo focuses on the three core directions of “finding factories, expanding cross-border, and doing foreign trade”, integrating source factories, global e-commerce platforms, logistics hubs, overseas marketing, compliance services, AI technology and other full-link resources to build a three-dimensional layout of “8 major professional exhibition areas + 8 major characteristic exhibition areas”.
On the first day of the event, nearly 10,000 buyers were attracted to the event, including leading domestic e-commerce anchor groups and large cross-border e-commerce sellers, as well as international buyer groups from Russia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and other countries, as well as cross-border procurement teams from key domestic regions.
Many buyers said that this exhibition not only provides a window for everyone to systematically understand the characteristic industrial belt of the Yellow River Basin, but also brings more opportunities for differentiated product selection through the newly added competition product selection, single economy and other new track exhibition areas, which can accurately match products according to global market consumption trends.
In order to improve the efficiency of supply and procurement docking, the exhibition has specially set up an exclusive supply and procurement docking area to achieve accurate matching of supply and demand and efficient transactions through VIP one-on-one negotiation services.
At the same time, nearly 40 global e-commerce platforms participating in the exhibition cover global core markets such as Europe, America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, Russia, Japan and South Korea. Each major platform has also launched a “green entry channel” for sellers present, as well as a number of service fee exemptions, traffic support and other policies to lower the threshold for small and medium-sized merchants to go overseas.

For the first time, this expo has introduced well-known southern industrial belts to participate in the exhibition. In addition to focusing on the characteristic industrial clusters of the nine provinces (districts) along the Yellow River and Xinjiang, it also attracted southern advantageous industrial belts such as Fujian Dehua Ceramics, Ningbo Outdoor Products, Yangjiang Kitchenware, etc., forming an industrial pattern of “linkage along the Yellow River, north-south collaboration, and staggered development” to provide buyers with a richer range of product selections.
The “exhibition before exhibition and factory behind” model is a major innovative breakthrough of this exhibition: this exhibition integrates certified source factories in Qingdao West Coast New Area, Jiaozhou, Jimo and other places, covering local advantageous industries such as wigs, plastic products, pet products, and home appliances.
After completing the preliminary selection of products at the exhibition hall, buyers can take the exhibition’s exclusive shuttle bus directly to the factory for on-site factory inspection, inspection of the production line, on-site price negotiation and on-site signing. The traditional long chain of “exhibition display – online inquiry – sample delivery – on-site factory inspection – placing order” is compressed into a short process of “viewing samples during the exhibition, inspecting the factory after the exhibition, and signing the contract on the spot”, which greatly improves transaction efficiency and reduces the docking costs between supply and demand parties.
As a mature industry exhibition that has been held for the fifth time since its inception in 2022, after four years of intensive cultivation and accumulation, the scale and quality of the expo have increased year by year, with a cumulative production-supply docking transaction volume reaching 2.18 billion yuan. It has been successfully selected as a key project for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin in Shandong Province’s “15th Five-Year Plan”. It has become a high-energy open platform for industrial collaboration, brand overseas, and supply chain collaboration in the nine provinces (districts) along the Yellow River.
As an important economic outlet along the Yellow River Basin, Qingdao has relied on national open platforms such as the West Coast New Area and the Free Trade Pilot Zone in recent years to deepen institutional innovation and service upgrades, and continuously improve the urban functions of the National Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone. It has currently cultivated 27,000 cross-border e-commerce enterprise stores and deployed more than 100 overseas warehouses around the world. It has promoted the doubling of new energy vehicle exports. It has not only consolidated Shandong’s status as a bridgehead for opening up to the outside world, but also injected strong momentum into serving the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
In the future, Qingdao will continue to amplify the platform effect of the expo, deepen the construction of the northern cross-border e-commerce ecological center, improve the comprehensive service system for enterprises going overseas, and build a bridge for resource sharing, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation among the provinces (regions) along the Yellow River.
