The development of emerging industries is driving the supply chain to accelerate, and many supply chain manufacturers have already felt the opportunities brought by the rapid development of emerging industries.
On June 24, the 2026 Asia Smart Sensors and Application Technology Expo opened in Shenzhen. The exhibition focused on sensors, robots, brain-computer interfaces, smart cars, consumer electronics, industrial Internet of Things and other fields. It gathered more than 300 companies and industrial institutions from many countries to showcase technological achievements from core components to complete system solutions.

The relevant person in charge of the Guangdong Electronic Information Industry Association said in his speech that smart sensors are the underlying foundation that connects the physical world and the digital world, and are the core support for the development of strategic emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, robots, and new energy vehicles. The iteration of sensor technology and the upgrade of supply chain capabilities will directly determine the implementation progress and popularization efficiency of downstream smart products.
A person in charge of the Asia-Pacific region of an international supplier of core head sensors and robot-related parts said that the development trends in related fields have been improving in the past two years. In subdivided fields, humanoid robots, surgical robots, logistics automation and other tracks have achieved major breakthroughs.
The supplier’s products cover six-dimensional force sensors, optical encoders, inductive encoders, motors and servo drives, and robot end effectors, which can meet the needs of domestic and foreign head OEM manufacturers and robot integrators for core components. The above-mentioned products are mainly targeted at scenarios such as precise position control and force feedback detection, and are also the direction with the strongest demand in the current industry.

‘Waiting until market demand appears before responding will actually be slow.
For us, we need to proactively plan for some high-growth directions, such as semiconductors, robots, and logistics automation.
In these places where there may be increases, we must make technical reserves and mass production planning.
’ said the person in charge of the above-mentioned supplier.
From novel to practical, core supply chain components and system solutions are being developed around industry pain points.
Some enterprise representatives said that the rising market popularity has brought development opportunities to the supply chain.
When the terminal demand for smart products or solutions opens up, suppliers of core components will also enjoy growth dividends simultaneously: firstly, the demand side is increasing, brand competition in popular tracks is intensifying, and the efficiency of connecting supply chain production capacity is improving; secondly, the cost of market education is declining, and some customers have a clearer understanding of their own needs and are more inclined to choose products that can solve the pain points of their production links when purchasing components.
A person in charge of a local domestic sensing technology company revealed that with the improvement of AI computing power, the heat dissipation requirements of high-computing power equipment have also increased. The company has developed two series of cooling-related sensing solutions, liquid cooling and air cooling, in response to the common pain points of this industry. At this stage, it is establishing in-depth communication and collaboration with a number of end customers to optimize and improve this system solution to adapt to the use needs of different scenarios.
Some business representatives also pointed out that market demand is still the core factor that the industry must consider.
At present, the R&D end and supply chain can meet the requirements for proofing and small-batch production of most smart products. However, the prerequisite for mass production of products is still to open up sales on the application side. On the basis of displaying smart elements, the product must also make customers think it is practical and convenient.
The iterative innovation of some functions is achievable from a technical level, but from an experience level, usability and ease of use are two different things. The entire industry is looking forward to further opening up the market prospects and realizing two-way profits for the supply chain and terminal manufacturers.
Industry insiders point out that some emerging industries are still in the stage of quantitative change and accumulation. In the future, as the scale of downstream applications continues to expand, the production costs of core components will further decline, which will feed back the popularity of smart products, form a positive cycle of industrial development, and ultimately promote more smart products to enter public life and production scenarios.
