Technology empowers smart construction, and the Changsha Construction Expo is helping the construction industry achieve transformation and upgrading.
The Information Office of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government announced that the 2026 Changsha International Green Intelligent Construction and Construction Industrialization Expo (referred to as the “Construction Expo”) will be held in Changsha from June 25th to 27th.
This construction expo will rely on the core advantages of Hunan’s intelligent construction equipment industry to create an industry event that integrates industry achievement display, expert and scholar exchanges, and government-enterprise-bank-business docking. It is committed to promoting the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and satisfying the people’s yearning for a better living environment.
Zhou Zhikai, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, introduced that the planned exhibition area for this year’s Construction Expo is 45,000 square meters.
The goal of the conference is to “attract investment through exhibitions, develop businesses through exhibitions, and develop cities through exhibitions” and has set up multiple exhibition areas for intelligent equipment, urban renewal, good houses, and intelligent construction.
These exhibition areas will present a panoramic view of new technologies, new products, new applications and future development trends in the construction field at home and abroad. It is expected that the number of participants in the exhibition will exceed 40,000.
This China Construction Expo closely follows the three main lines of intelligent construction empowering intelligent equipment, intelligent construction empowering good houses, and intelligent construction empowering urban renewal.
The exhibition brings together many of the world’s top 50 construction machinery companies such as Sany Group and Zoomlion, as well as leading domestic construction robot companies.
A series of advanced equipment such as high-altitude rescue platforms, emergency water supply and drainage equipment, and intelligent cleaning and sanitation equipment will be displayed on site.
At the same time, integrated solutions such as high-quality human settlements, prefabricated decoration, new green building materials, whole-house smart homes, and green farm houses will also be displayed to present cutting-edge technology and innovative achievements in the construction field to the audience.
The Construction Expo has carefully created a “1 + 2 + N” three-dimensional high-quality activity matrix.
Exchange topics are set around the three main lines of empowerment, including theme meetings, two national key exchange activities and 6 special exchange meetings.
In addition, the exhibition will also host the “Xiang Chain Global·Building Future” Hunan Construction Industry Chain International Cooperation Matchmaking Conference, a dynamic display of construction robots and intelligent equipment, and demonstrate the performance and application scenarios of various intelligent equipment through on-site practical operations to promote the in-depth integration and development of technology, equipment, and applications.
In terms of expanding international cooperation, this China Construction Expo actively expands the international “circle of friends”.
It brings together domestic and overseas infrastructure investors, purchasers, government and enterprise authorities, leading construction companies in the province, and various service organizations.
At present, companies from the United States, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and other countries and regions have been invited to participate in the exhibition, and buyers from the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia will also organize groups to participate.
At the exhibition site, key overseas infrastructure projects will be released, corporate roadshows, project signings, and one-to-one precise negotiations will be carried out to build a long-term international cooperation bridge and provide a broad platform for Chinese construction companies to go global.
