This article summarizes recent key developments in the cross-border e-commerce sector—covering areas such as platform promotions, data growth, and logistics policies—to provide sellers with practical information and market insights.

In the past week, many important events have occurred in the field of cross-border e-commerce.

In terms of platform trends, Amazon has many initiatives.
First of all, Amazon Prime Day will be held globally in June, covering many countries, allowing Chinese sellers to improve their performance and brand influence.
Last year’s Prime Membership Day achieved great results, and this year it was moved forward from July to June.
In addition, Amazon’s Q1 financial report performed brilliantly, with net sales increasing by 17% year-on-year to US$181.5 billion, and net profit increasing by 77%.
At the same time, Amazon also launched the AI voice question and answer function “Join the chat” and deepened its cooperation with OpenAI. GPT’s strongest model will be launched on AWS.

Alibaba’s AliExpress has also made new moves, announcing that it will deepen cooperation with German logistics companies to speed up delivery in Germany through the “AliExpress Choice” service, which can be delivered in 3 to 5 days, improving the shopping experience of German consumers.

Pinduoduo Temu has joined hands with QIMA to strengthen the compliance system. The testing service is connected to the seller center, and sellers can obtain relevant resources in one stop.

Shopee reiterated that store accounts must use real qualifications, and illegal transactions will be severely punished; the Philippines station’s cashback activities are integrated into seller growth services and charged, and it has also increased investment for domestic trade sellers, launching multiple business models and exclusive incentives to lower the threshold for going overseas.

Other platforms have also developed.
Wildberries has entered Ethiopia, becoming its 11th market in the world, and launched an AI beauty trial function; the African e-commerce platform Jumia’s Egyptian station is open to Chinese sellers, providing free warehouse rent and reduced commission policies; Indian e-commerce giants have deployed AI agent shopping, and Flipkart and others have accessed ChatGPT and Gemini.

In terms of cross-border logistics, new US CPSC regulations are about to take effect, and electronic declaration will be mandatory for goods with more than 600 tax numbers starting from July 8.

In terms of industry policies and data, Sensor Tower data shows that TikTok’s global monthly active users have exceeded 2 billion, and TEMU and SHEIN have also achieved good results.
South Korean supervision has strengthened the compliance of e-commerce platforms, and the seven major platforms have been forced to modify their user agreements.
Russia plans to impose electronic product fees and value-added tax on foreign sellers to narrow the competitive gap.
AI shopping traffic in the United States surged by 393%, and the conversion rate surpassed traditional marketing channels, showing that consumption habits are transforming into intelligent ones.

In summary, the cross-border e-commerce industry is undergoing rapid development and change. Sellers and related companies need to pay close attention to industry trends, seize opportunities, and respond to challenges.
