Chinese cooling products are hot sellers in Italy

5月下旬以来意大利遭遇多轮高温,中国跨境电商平台上的降温产品受当地消费者青睐,销售格外火爆,预计市场需求增长势头将延续。

Since late May, Italy has encountered multiple rounds of high temperature weather, and many places have successively issued orange or even red high temperature warnings.
In such a hot environment, cooling products from China on cross-border e-commerce platforms have become a favorite among Italian consumers.

Faced with rounds of hot weather, Italian consumers have chosen ready-to-use cooling products.
Data from the Italian price comparison platform shows that since mid-May, purchase intentions for various heatstroke prevention and cooling products, especially on online platforms, have seen an astonishing increase.

According to statistics from the Italian Price Comparison Platform for its “heatstroke prevention and cooling management” category, comparing the two-week data from May 14th to 20th and May 21st to 27th, the most popular among various types of heatstroke prevention products are fan products, with a month-on-month increase of 543%; sales of awning products increased by 117% month-on-month; and sales of hiking sandals increased by 105% month-on-month.

It is worth mentioning that the sales of these products on China’s cross-border e-commerce platforms are particularly hot.
According to the person in charge of AliExpress Italian merchants, they have released some summer cooling products in advance this year.
Judging from the data, sales in May increased approximately five times compared with March, and June increased approximately 10 times compared with March.

In the warehouse of this Chinese cross-border e-commerce platform merchant, you can see that household refrigeration products, tower fans, desktop fans and other cooling products are replenished almost every day.
Some consumers said that in previous years they usually waited until July when it was “unbearably hot” before considering purchasing heatstroke protection products, but this year they made the decision nearly two months in advance.

Some insiders pointed out that as the hot weather in Italy continues in summer, it is expected that the market demand for heatstroke prevention and cooling products will continue to grow.
China’s cross-border e-commerce platform will also steadily increase its sales share in the overall heatstroke protection supplies market with its rich product categories and high cost performance.
This not only opens up a broader international market for Chinese goods, but also brings cooling and convenience to Italian consumers in the hot summer.
In the future, I believe that more high-quality Chinese products will go abroad to meet the needs of consumers around the world.
