Recently, the 2026 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Forum was grandly held in Xiamen, Fujian.
At this forum, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released the first batch of overseas smart factory case collections.
A total of 13 companies across the country were successfully selected as benchmark factories, among which the tire industry performed particularly well, occupying 3 seats.
Zhongce Thailand, Linglong Europe, and Double Star Cambodia’s overseas smart factories were successfully listed on the list. This achievement demonstrates the strong global competitiveness of China’s tire smart manufacturing.
The case collection released this time was guided by the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee and compiled by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.
The purpose is to summarize the practical experience of Chinese enterprises in overseas intelligent manufacturing and provide Chinese solutions with reference significance for the transformation of the global manufacturing industry.
The selected cases cover a wide range of fields such as engineering machinery, auto parts, tires, etc., and represent the highest level of intelligence in the overseas layout of China’s manufacturing industry.
It is worth mentioning that the overseas factories of these three tire companies have their own characteristics.
Linglong’s Serbian factory is the Chinese tire industry’s first full-process smart factory in Europe.
The factory deeply integrates AI, industrial big data and robotics technology to build a collaborative network of “China Headquarters – European Factory”.
Through this advanced model, the single-tire production cycle was greatly compressed to 22 minutes, and profitability was achieved six months after production was put into operation.
This achievement not only reflects the efficient operation of Linglong’s Serbian factory, but also demonstrates the strong strength of Chinese tire companies in overseas markets.
Double Star’s Cambodian factory adopts the strategy of “informatization first, then intelligence” to create a modular intelligent manufacturing system.
This system has increased production efficiency by 40% and reduced operating costs by 30%, forming an overseas factory construction model that can be quickly replicated.
This model provides valuable experience for other Chinese companies to build factories overseas and helps promote the global layout of China’s manufacturing industry.
Zhongce Thailand factory has become the benchmark for intelligent tire manufacturing in Southeast Asia with its mature intelligent manufacturing system.
The factory’s successful experience in intelligent manufacturing has provided strong support for the development of the Chinese tire industry in the Southeast Asian market.
This selection marks that China’s tire industry has achieved a key leap from “product output” to “technical standard output”.
As an important pillar of the real economy, China’s tire industry is deeply integrating into the high-end links of the global industrial chain through intelligent and green transformation.
This not only injects new momentum into the coordinated development of the BRICS and global manufacturing industries, but also gives China’s manufacturing industry more advantages in the competition in the global market.
