News from the China Machinery Industry Federation shows that my country’s machinery industry production and investment are off to a good start, production and supply growth is accelerating, market demand is rising steadily, new productivity is growing, and the economy is off to a strong start, achieving a good start.
From January to February, the added value of the five major industries mainly involved in the machinery industry maintained a year-on-year growth trend.
Among them, the general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.9%, the special equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.8%, the automobile manufacturing industry increased by 3.4%, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.7%, and the instrumentation manufacturing industry increased by 7.8%.
It is worth noting that the equipment manufacturing industry has enjoyed good growth in these two months, with its added value increasing by 9.3% year-on-year, which is 3.0 percentage points faster than the added value of all industries above designated size.
As the first year of the “15th Five-Year Plan”, the equipment manufacturing industry has a clear development direction in 2026.
The person in charge of the China Machinery Industry Federation said that the equipment manufacturing industry will develop in the direction of intelligence, greenness, and integration, and promote the construction of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the backbone.
Xu Niansha, President of the China Machinery Industry Federation, pointed out that on the implementation path, we must do a good job in “three reinforcements”.
The first is to strengthen the reconstruction of the industrial base and focus on weak links such as industrial motherboards, high-end chips, and basic software.
As the cornerstone of the manufacturing industry, the technical level of industrial machines directly affects the development of the entire manufacturing industry.
High-end chips and basic software are core elements in the digital economy era. Strengthening research in these areas will help enhance the core competitiveness of my country’s manufacturing industry.
The second is to strengthen research on major technical equipment and promote the research and development of iconic products such as high-end medical equipment, precision instruments and advanced agricultural machinery and equipment.
The successful research and development of high-end medical equipment will provide strong support for the development of my country’s medical industry; the advancement of precision instrumentation will help improve the accuracy and quality of the production process; the application of advanced agricultural machinery and equipment will promote the process of my country’s agricultural modernization.
The last step is to strengthen quality brand building and enhance the international reputation of “Made in China”.
