Cambodia’s tire manufacturing industry has ushered in a new development milestone. The new tire factory in Kratie Province, Newbustar (Crossleader), has recently been officially put into operation.
This is the second company approved to produce and sell domestic automobile tires in Cambodia after the first local tire company, marking the further growth of Cambodia’s tire industry.

The Newbustar factory is a subsidiary of China Doublestar Group.
As an important enterprise in China’s tire industry, Doublestar Group has more than a century of manufacturing experience and has strong competitiveness in the global tire industry.
It is worth mentioning that Kumho, a well-known Korean tire brand, also has certain capital and industrial relationships with the group.
Relying on the technology accumulation and industrial resources of the parent company, Newbustar has become one of the eight tire manufacturing companies in Cambodia with strong technical background support, providing a strong guarantee for product quality and safety performance.
The project is located in the UBE Special Economic Zone in Shilun County, Kratie Province, with a total investment of approximately US$138 million and is expected to create approximately 975 jobs.
This not only provides employment opportunities for local residents, but also helps improve the local industrial chain.
As the factory is put into operation, related upstream and downstream industries will also be driven, promoting the development of the local economy.
At the same time, this will further enhance the level of Cambodia’s manufacturing industry and promote it to move towards a regional auto parts manufacturing base.

As the authorized distributor of the Crossleader brand in Cambodia, RBR (Cambodia) said that the company is committed to providing high-quality, safe and reliable tire products to the market, and advocates that consumers give priority to high-quality brands produced locally.
This will not only help increase the visibility and market share of local tire brands in Cambodia, but also allow consumers to enjoy better products and services.
According to data released by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on March 17, 2026, there are currently 8 automobile tire manufacturing factories in the country, distributed in 5 special economic zones.
Industry analysts believe that as more manufacturing projects are implemented, Cambodia is gradually moving towards a regional auto parts manufacturing base.
The commissioning of the Newbustar factory is undoubtedly an important step in this development process and will inject new impetus into Cambodia’s economic development and industrial upgrading.
In the future, with the continuous development of Cambodia’s tire industry, I believe more companies will join it, pushing Cambodia to occupy a more important position in the global tire market.
At the same time, this also provides new opportunities for Chinese companies to expand in overseas markets and promotes economic cooperation and exchanges between China and Cambodia.
