A few days have passed since the Taiwan Year of the Horse Spring Festival Gala, but the wonderful aftertaste of the party continues. The hard-core temperament displayed by Yibin, which is a branch venue of the Spring Festival Gala, has also become a hot topic among all parties.

In the sketch “You Must Like”, many smart technology products of MOVA, the pursuit ecological chain, were unveiled, showing the most cutting-edge smart home technology ecosystem.
On February 10, the first product of MOVA’s Yibin manufacturing base rolled off the production line. The base is positioned by MOVA as a key fulcrum for integrating R&D, intelligent manufacturing and global sales. According to the plan, the base will increase production step by step and carry more than one-third of MOVA’s global production capacity, eventually reaching an annual production capacity of one million units and an annual output value of 2 billion yuan.
Another Galaxy universal robot, Galbot G1, which appeared in the Spring Festival Gala and interacted with Shen Teng and Ma Li, also attracted widespread attention.
The latest news is that just 24 hours after the Spring Festival Gala, Galaxy General received orders for hundreds of robots worth 700,000 yuan.
What few people know is that the same robot used in the Spring Festival Gala has actually appeared in Vientiane Yibin World as early as last year, providing services to citizens and tourists in Galaxy General’s first “unmanned retail space capsule” in the country.

This Spring Festival, the wonderful connection between technology and art has allowed the world to see the beauty of the times, and also seen a Chinese city moving towards the “new”.
Yibin took the lead in laying out key links and built the first robotic data mining center in Southwest China.
On February 18, the second day of the first lunar month, Yibin World in Vientiane was crowded with tourists. In the “unmanned retail space capsule”, there were abundant products such as drinks and blind boxes. The “worker” selling the products was a silver-white robot wearing a red scarf.
Mr. Sun, a tourist, took out his mobile phone and scanned the QR code to choose a bottle of tea. A voice sounded in the capsule: “You have a new order, please process it in time.” After receiving the instruction, the robot came to the shelf with its sliding wheels, accurately grabbed the goods and put them back steadily at the food pick-up port. The whole process was smooth and smooth.
For a robot to be so “smart”, it cannot do without the “feeding” and training of massive data.
In the south area of Yibin High-speed Railway, Galaxy General Motors and Yibin jointly built the Southwest Embodied Intelligent Training Center. 70 data collection robots of the same type operate day and night. They not only learn the work of “retail workers” such as making coffee and fetching drinks, but also learn the skills required by porters and nannies such as moving boxes and folding quilts.
After systematic training, their force sensing accuracy reaches three grams, and they can accurately grasp a single paper clip.
“The robot industry chain is complex, and data mining is the core key link.” According to the relevant person in charge of Yibin City, the current development of the embodied intelligence industry faces two core bottlenecks. One is the scarcity of real physical interaction scenarios, resulting in a serious shortage and high cost of high-quality training data. The second is the lack of unified standards for heterogeneous data, forming “data islands” that are difficult to interoperate and reuse.
The establishment of the Southwest Embodied Intelligent Training Center is to provide indispensable “massive data fuel” and a real physical verification environment for algorithm iteration and product maturity.
At the same time, based on the industry judgment that “embodied intelligence applications are about to explode, leading companies are in a high-growth window period”, Yibin positions the training center as the “linker” and “adsorber” of the industrial ecology. The core strategy is based on competitive data supply costs and scarce benchmark verification scenarios.
Key resources will attract leading companies to settle in and cooperate, carry out data collection and model training in Yibin, and then settle in Yibin for settlement centers, R&D pilots, ontology manufacturing bases, etc., to build a “soft (algorithm model, data service) + hard (robot machine, core components)” industrial ecology and seize the opportunity for industrial explosion.
Since the center was put into operation in September last year, it has quickly accepted and delivered market-oriented data orders, built training scenarios around commercial, industrial and household services, with an average daily effective collection time of 4 hours per person, and created a series of characteristic demonstration applications such as “unmanned retail space capsules” and “high-difficulty dancing robots”, effectively promoting embodied intelligence technology to the market.
Among them, “unmanned retail space capsules” have been implemented and promoted in many cities such as Beijing and Chengdu. It is expected that more than 1,000 units will be deployed within the year, gradually building a closed loop of integrated capabilities of “data collection-model training-scenario implementation”.
Relying on this first robotic data mining center in southwest China, Yibin expects that this year the data mining team will exceed 500 people, deploy more than 250 data mining robots of various types, form a high-quality, multi-modal robot interaction data set for more than 200,000 hours, create more than 10 demonstration application scenarios that can be promoted nationwide, and be the first to realize the closed-loop operation of the embodied intelligent data industry in similar cities across the country.
Yibin has also differentiated its layout of the artificial intelligence industry and identified three main tracks.
Faced with high barriers to entry in core technology fields such as algorithms and chips, Yibin adapts to local conditions, relies on its deep accumulation in advanced manufacturing fields such as power batteries, and actively embraces new opportunities in the integration of artificial intelligence and the real economy. It focuses on three main tracks: embodied intelligent hardware ecology and data collection, large model industry applications, and standardized manufacturing of computing power infrastructure (AIDC), and lays out key links suitable for the local area.
In fact, power batteries and robots have the same roots.
Robot joint modules require high energy density power, and Yibin is one of the world’s largest power battery production bases.
When pursuing the implementation of technology, what they are looking for is the industrial cluster where “suppliers can be found just downstairs”.
As a medium-sized city, how does Yibin attract leading companies?
According to Yibin, embodied intelligence applications are on the eve of an explosion. Most of the leading complete machine and robot core component manufacturing companies are in a small, high-growth stage and are in urgent need of equity investment.
Therefore, Yibin continues the experience and practice of early fund investment, forming a vertical professional fund with leading fund managers, linking and investing to attract companies with hard core capabilities to lay out production and manufacturing bases in Yibin.
At the same time, we should give full play to the advantages of medium-sized cities in coordinating all-area scenarios, link head robot companies with local liquor, cultural tourism, emergency and other industries to jointly explore “high-value small incision” characteristic application scenarios, demonstrate the application in Yi, and promote it nationwide.
Through fund investment, Yibin has currently cooperated with China Mobile Capital, Jinshajiang United Capital and other leading institutions to establish 8 artificial intelligence special funds with a total scale of 3 billion yuan. It has invested in more than 20 complete robot and core component companies such as Zhumi Technology, Xijing Technology, and Yiyou Intelligent Control. This year, it plans to attract more than 40 similar projects, gradually forming a complete industrial chain of “robot body + core components + system integration” to accumulate momentum for the next industrial explosion.
Through scenario applications, in addition to the aforementioned “unmanned retail space capsule” jointly developed with Galaxy General, Yibin is promoting the research and development of building facade cleaning robots, judicial inspection robots and other products, and is expected to launch 10 first-set robot application products this year.
Artificial intelligence and urban governance complement each other.
Yibin has fully implemented the “artificial intelligence +” action and developed 44 large-scale industry model applications.
The “Yiwen Intelligent Answer” large-scale model develops 18 intelligent agents such as intelligent question answering and intelligent review, improving government efficiency by more than 30%; the “Yiyi Intelligent Brain” jointly developed with Tsinghua University has been demonstrated and applied in municipal hospitals, reducing the time of a single consultation by 20%; the “Intelligent Review Cloud Analysis” platform has been recognized by the National Audit Office.
Computing infrastructure and green energy are also naturally coupled.
Yibin is collaborating with leading companies such as 21Vianet and Qinhuai Data to explore the development of distributed super-node computing power cabinets and flexibly deploy them in industrial parks.
What supports these computing power centers is Yibin’s abundant green power resources – photovoltaic, energy storage and computing power, forming a closed loop here to achieve “coordinated advancement of computing power construction and industry cultivation.”
According to the plan, by 2028, Yibin will attract and cultivate 3-5 data service companies with a scale of more than 1,000 people, and more than 5 embodied smart chain master companies, achieving an output value of 10 billion-15 billion yuan.
